We are continuing to work with all those wanting to take part in the special 72-hour Medjugorje pilgrimage sale, which ends at midnight, February 14, 2018, less than 36 hours away.
The Caritas kids kneel around the names of the pilgrims who have signed up for the May/June 2018 pilgrimage group. The names also of those who were pending as of this morning were brought out to the Field of Apparitions during the daily Rosary today, February 13, 2018. We remembered in prayer also those who want to go to Medjugorje, but some situation prevents them, or appears to be preventing them, that God would find a way for them to go.

Our Lady has given us the assurance that She is with us and this is a cause for one not to worry. The following is an answer to a very common question we receive from people who want to go to Medjugorje:
Question: I want to go to Medjugorje, but I am afraid of traveling alone. Should I simply wait until someone can go with me before I go?
Answer: This is a common concern, and sometimes, the concern is on part of the family and not the pilgrim. We have seen people not go to Medjugorje because of this reason alone.
Our Lady has said in Her messages that She is with us. We do not have a reason to fear. A Friend of Medjugorje once wrote about going to Medjugorje:
“We need ‘Mother’… Our Lady is waiting for you…”
The ‘Mother’ Who is waiting for you in Medjugorje is our first place of protection. God, Who sent the angel to Saint Joseph in order to protect the Holy Family, is perfectly capable of protecting you on your journey. While we have this spiritual assurance, which is very real, sometimes we need to know a few practical things as well. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
If you pay close attention to your flight schedules as given on your itinerary, and do not wander away from your gates at the airport, you should be fine. If the concern is because you have a medical condition, as long as you let the BVM Caritas representative know before you book your pilgrimage, we can can request assistance from the airlines at the airport.
Also, security at the airports is usually very good. If any area or circumstance does not make you comfortable, it is generally easy to find someone who works for the airlines, or airport security to help you, or at the very least guide you to where you need to be. A BVM Caritas representative will meet you at the last airport to bring you to the village of Medjugorje.
Lastly, this may be an opportunity for conversion. We have guided people in convincing a relative or friend to go with them. While the relative or friend may think that they are helping, in reality, it is a “back-door” approach to introduce them to Our Lady and in the end, get helped themselves. There is always a way to find the way to go. Pray with the heart, begin making plans, open up doors, and see which ones God closes or allows you to pass through.
You are not alone. From before the moment you contact us, and long after you have returned home, you are being remembered in prayer each day by the Caritas Community.

Hello! Last year I received enough money to go to Medjugorje. I was just waiting for the right time. When I received the email advertising this sale I knew the right time had come, but I was very nervous about traveling in a foreign country alone. Often times in my life the Lord has sent me signs of encouragement and this time was no different. A few months ago I helped with a class at my Parish called 33 days to Morning Glory, a consecration to the Blessed Mother. All through the class we heard the word ponder, We pondered prayerfully how different saints have consecrated themselves to Mary. So when I called Caritas to inquire about this trip, Kathy told me to ponder the information and then call back with my decision. Of all the words that she could have used! Later on I had to give my cat some medicine and I noticed on the box it said Made in Croatia. Seeing that the Lord has a sense of humor, I pondered my decision and said yes! I’m going and Mary be with me every step of the way.
