MISSION STATEMENT
Caritas of Birmingham is the largest Medjugorje center in the world promoting the events of the Medjugorje phenomenon. Located 20 miles southeast of Birmingham, Alabama, Caritas of Birmingham’s mission is to teach and help support what a Friend of Medjugorje calls the “inculturalization” of Mary’s messages into everyday life.

Medjugorje.com is one of the many arms of the mission of Caritas of Birmingham, which was founded by a Friend of Medjugorje in 1986, and is operated by the Community of Caritas, which Our Lady Herself requested to be formed in 1988, in the home of a Friend of Medjugorje and his wife. The Community of Caritas’ mission is to live the messages of Medjugorje first and then spread the messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje to the world.

This place is truly a place of places. When I came here Mary stroked my very existence. J could feel the intense release of the Holy Spirit thrusting itself deep within me. I only wish to spread the seed of this place within others.

This is truly a place of conversion. It is amazing that in a 5 day pilgrimage, the Community of Caritas can take you into the most beautiful places in your heart. There you will find “Truth,” that was lost somewhere along the way. You will discover a “Joy” like no other. And you will feel the “Peace” that only a mother can give to her children.
I went to Medjugorje in 2018, and it was very beautiful, the crowds were incredible! However, I must say that my experience at the Community was a “Spiritual Revival,” one that I desperately needed, but was blind to that fact. I have started living right again, I do remember you Mother Mary! Thank you for remembering me, my heart is filled with gratitude.
