The Field of Apparitions
The holy site near Birmingham, Alabama, the Field of Apparitions, where Our Lady Queen of Peace appeared to Marija Lunetti, one of the six visionaries of Medjugorje, for the first time on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1988. During the apparition, Our Lady appeared with 12 stars around Her head. Our Lady promised from this spot to carry all our intentions to the Father. She gave a message, through Marija, saying:
“I invite you to live my messages. I am here to help you! I will intercede for you to God for all your intentions.”
Since then, tens of thousands have flocked in pilgrimage to this sacred spot with their intentions to offer in prayer to Our Lady. Many receive special graces and answers to their prayers. The Community of Caritas meets daily in the Field of Apparitions at 5:oo a.m. and again for the daily rosary, 10 a.m. in the winter, 11 a.m. in the summer, which coincides with the apparition time in Medjugorje. The Field is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I visited Caritas in April of 2022. I went to the field and prayed the rosary with the community. It was a overcast day. When the bells started to chime signaling the time of the apparition, I saw sunrays peek down from the sky. I looked up and saw the sun for quite a while spin brilliant colors. It was surreal! I literally was able to stare at the sun for probably 2 minutes (or the time that the bells were ringing). It is a peaceful beautiful place. I’m going this year to see Medjugorje in person. I can’t wait!

Tonight listened to the podcast “trumph is here because of her’. The Consecration prayer moved me to tears. I have donated tonight and hope that the community has been able to gain the paper they need. I am moved in a way I have not been in years. That you Caritas. I so hope to travel to Alabama to the field of Apparitions. meanwhile, please keep myself and my family in your prayers. I am a RN, widowed since May 2021..have struggled to keep moving in a good direction. and away from the grips of alcohol. I have a beautiful daughter who plays music in Chicago, but she is away from her faith. My brother and sister as well. Possibly I haven’t been the good example they need. So then please pray.
