Our Lady said on March 2, 2017:
“…pray with good works…”
Work is good, work is even holy if done for God.

A hay bale in Medjugorje, gathered by a villager as forage for animals. This simpler life reminds us of the Biblical mandate to work for our keep. Work therefore, is holy, especially when done for God.
Work sanctifies and helps to make us free from vices. Work can also prepare us for a future life which is coming. A Friend of Medjugorje wrote in It Ain’t Gonna Happen:
“…the saints teach us work is holy. Today’s idleness is sinful and yes, many are very busy doing nothing. It won’t be easy to start a new way, but the earthquake that is about to further hit the already broken economy is going to be such that people do not have the imagination to comprehend the depth of the crash because they have no past experiences, nor living memories, with such hardship.”1
Without the experience of trying to work towards a simpler life today while it is easier, life in the future may be very difficult for those unprepared, first by living holiness, and then living holiness in their work. Pray, think, act.
