Encouragement for New Mothers from Pope Francis

Encouragement for New Mothers from Pope Francis

For Immediate Release
April 3, 2020

(MNIS, Caritas of Birmingham, Alabama) – This morning, Friday April 3, 2020, the Holy Father Pope Francis sent a message via Twitter:

Today I would like to thank all new mothers who confront understandable fears. Thank you, as well, to those who affectionately and competently support them. The children born during this time of the #coronavirus are a sign of great hope.

A firestorm of controversy ignited when U.S. Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), attempted to sneak abortion funding into the CARES Act, the coronavirus economic stimulus act. This attempt, among other things, such as whether the elderly are receiving medical treatment fairly, is drawing clearer lines of division between pro-life and abortion advocates.

The Holy Father’s words of encouragement come barely two years ago after Ireland voted to make abortion legal, and less than a year, after Alabama, among other states in the U.S., came closer to outlawing abortion totally.

On March 3, 1990, Medjugorje inner locutionist Marijana Vasilj, (not to be confused with visionary Mirjana Soldo) relayed a message from the Virgin Mary regarding abortion:

“I call you in a special way to pray for all unborn children. Pray especially for the mothers who consciously kill their children. Dear children, I am sad because many children are being killed. Pray that there will be as few as possible of these mothers, and as few as possible of these cases in the world.”

A Friend of Medjugorje, founder and director of Caritas of Birmingham noted in the February 25, 2020, Radio WAVE broadcast titled, The Songs of Our Lady:

“The messages of Our Lady are really about life. There could be tragedies throughout our life, or even the beginning of life of a newborn. But all these things speak to us. All the broad spectrum of life should be looked at through the messages of Our Lady… When you look to the messages, you see the sorrow, but also the joy and the beauty, because we were put on this earth for this purpose.”

A Friend of Medjugorje previously mentioned Hasan Shushud, a Sufi Muslim, who prophecied that preceding the Medjugorje apparitions, there would be people who were born and prepared for it ahead of time. If one were to take the words of Pope Francis, a Friend of Medjugorje and Hasan Shushud seriously, it may be that these children being born during this moment in history will carry a very special future. Time will tell.
