Our Lady shows us that when you begin to create a place for kids, you will find pure fun…
January 9, 2014 A.D.
Our Lady of Medjugorje said on June 18, 1999:
“Dear children! I am happy, and I want you to be happy…”
Our founder often says that these are not the days of Bernadette in Lourdes, when she was told by Our Lady that she (Bernadette) could not be promised happiness in this life, but only in the next. But rather, Our Lady wants us to experience happiness here on earth, and go to Heaven with Her.
In the past week, much of the country was under an intense weather barrage, with plummeting snow storms and chilling temperatures. Here in Alabama, while we did not get any snow, we did get temperatures down to 5 degrees, with wind chills much colder. A few days ago, our founder mentioned at the daily Rosary that he had ‘left the sprinklers on’ at his house overnight. We knew of course, this was not an accidental thing, but purposely done for the kids to have ‘fun’. We share with you a few shots of the community kids having pure fun out of what some may even complain about. But, if you create the pure means of having fun for your children, they learn valuable lessons and they will not so much seek fun in other ways that the world may offer, and which may lead towards sin.
Medjugorje visionary Marija told a story once, where she said that when she was younger, their family worked so hard in the fields, all day long, and would come in home late a night, so tired, but so happy. Her family would end up staying up late just enjoying each other and having fun. Certainly, ‘fun’ is something in which the world has twisted, creating fun out of what is in reality ‘sin’. But, there are pure ways to have fun. See below:
Above is a snapshot of part of the yard covered with real homemade ice, created for the kids overnight!
Faith Marie, is going to try her new slide!
Here is the pushoff!
Amazing how much you can move in just 3 feet!
Andrew Francis is learing the physics of what happens when you try to walk on ice.
Lesson Learned: If you want your kids to have common sense, then expose them to nature. Nature teaches them that walking on slippery ice will make you fall. Easy lesson, but more importantly, in the spiritual walk, when we let go of Our Lady’s hands, and take a step in a slippery direction, we will fall. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on March 18, 2008:
“…The way on which I lead you is difficult and full of temptations and falls. I will be with you and my hands will hold you. Be persevering so that, at the end of the way, we can all together, in joy and love, hold the hands of my Son. Come with me; fear not…”
Some of the Caritas Community kids are happily posing with their unlimited supply of ice.
And of course, when you’re done with it, you eat it… ♥
Continuing to celebrate the joy of the birth of Jesus, and the New Year, with love,

Special Note: In the past days we have been sharing with you a little more about the ‘behind the scenes’ life of the Caritas Community. Our prayer is that you can come to an understanding that when a people decide for God, for yourself and for your family you can receive untold blessings of joy and peace. The Caritas Community started in the family of our founder, and over the past 27 years has birthed into a visibly beautiful life, given to us by Our Lady. It did not come overnight, but through many sacrifices and walking away from many ways of the world. It is important to understand that you can have this life, if you desire it. In these days when most work slows down, and people are looking at the new year, what has passed in the past year, what they want to change, and what they want their future to be like, this is the time to reflect on where you are going personally, and where you are going in your family. If you want a different ‘future’ than what you foresee, then begin creating a different ‘present’. Everything is in your hands. Below are more spiritual helps for you to strengthen you and give you direction.

What a joy to see how we can receive what God gives us through nature and create an experience of excitement and wonder rather than shutting ourselves inside and watching from behind the windows and doors waiting for the “thaw”, the salt trucks, the plows, so we can get on with our everyday routines. How blessed we are that God intervenes sometimes and gives us an opportunity to “connect” with His awesome beauty through nature. Children have much to teach us about appreciating the moment. Thank you Caritas for sharing this moment with the world.
I thank you.. I just thank you. I like kids but am not having. Its the kid who brings peace brightness in the house. Thank you. Pray. Something, I am missing. Let me see and get it by the grace of Mary the Mother.
I want to see the pictures of the adults that copied the kids!
