Sometimes we find God’s will pointed out through what we think are losses, only to see it was God’s way of moving us.

One of several large trees that fell with Tropical Storm Lee this morning, Caritas, Alabama.
The Community of Caritas has been repeatedly hit this year by severe storms. Last night, 2 large trees fell in the driveway from the single consecrated house. Accustomed to walking in the dark on the way to 5 AM prayer, several of the Single Consecrated bumped into the trees not knowing they were there.
Near the end of 5 am prayer, the Community heard a massive crash from the Field. On the way home they noticed this large tree stretched across the asphalt path to the Field of Apparitions, where tens of thousands have walked. While there was no serious damage during this morning’s storm, the Community lost power for several hours last night as a storm made its way through the state.
In recent months, there have been 4 separate severe lightning strikes due to storms. The 4 lightning strikes occurred over a period of 60 days; each strike damaged our phone system down to about half of its operating size, which greatly cripples our operations. We had not included an upgrade of the phone system in the Retooling of the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages, but we’ve come to realize perhaps Our Lady saying to upgrade. So, we now have to include this in the Retooling, as we have no choice. Our current system at full capacity has 60 extensions. We lost one-third of those extensions and other damages to the offices and buildings. With the new system, we will be expanding to 90 extensions, capable of operating for the Great Evangelization. The new phone system will include special lightning protection to help for future events. We’ve seen in the past God move us into directions we did not want to go, only to realize that God’s will pointed it out through what we thought was a loss, and it turns out to move us to be in a better position for the future.
