As in Nineveh…

Praying the Solemn Act of Consecration with Our Lady, in the Field of Apparitions, July 3, 2009 at Caritas in Alabama

Today is a special day in the United States, indeed, the whole world. As today marks not only a new day in America, but also, the beginning of a new day for many other nations that have also been undergoing changes towards light, we remember the words which a Friend of Medjugorje wrote in the Solemn Act of Consecration for Our Nation and that was prayed in Our Lady’s presence while She appeared to Marija at Caritas in 2008, 2009 and 2012:
 

“We the people, in your Holy presence, who are nothing, appeal to your Heavenly Queenly power of intercession before God, as our Mother. As such, we your children appeal most urgently, most direly with a cry of lamentation as of the city of Nineveh, who were a people who humbled themselves and repented and God relented of His judgment against them. We, O Queen, deserve Divine judgment. We realize that civilizations across time and cultures who crossed the line of decadence that we have crossed, all met with their end. The signs of the time speak to us of our nation. We have little time left…”¹

We are reminded also about the public 9-day bread and water fasts, in which thousands across the world have joined in since 2001, and the prayer that accompanied that fast:
 

“O Queen of Heaven, we unite ourselves with others across the land in a holy fast, reminiscent of the so many times ancient Israel cried out in repentance to their God. By their history, we know God the Most High will hear our cry. We humble ourselves because of our sins. Seek, Mary our Queen, on our behalf, that the Lord not look upon our sins, but the love we show Him through this fast. Persuade Him to not only forgive but also forget and blot out our sins, that through Your hands we will grow close to Him and know Him intimately as a Father, as our Protector…”²

During yesterday’s Jan. 19, 2017 Mejanomics broadcast, Are You Scandalous?, a Friend of Medjugorje pointed towards some remarkable statements made by a prominent Jewish Rabbi, about the incoming U.S. President. The broadcast is very important to listen to get a better Biblical, Message-View of the world.

In the meantime, today is not the time to celebrate partisan politics, but to celebrate the power that Our Lady has before God in winning for His people another opportunity to change, and the return of society to a Holy way of living. Today, Friday, is a day of prayer and fasting. Make good use of it that God can continue to bless us through Our Lady as we continue to humble ourselves before Him.
