MISSION STATEMENT
Caritas of Birmingham is the largest Medjugorje center in the world promoting the events of the Medjugorje phenomenon. Located 20 miles southeast of Birmingham, Alabama, Caritas of Birmingham’s mission is to teach and help support what a Friend of Medjugorje calls the “inculturalization” of Mary’s messages into everyday life.

Medjugorje.com is one of the many arms of the mission of Caritas of Birmingham, which was founded by a Friend of Medjugorje in 1986, and is operated by the Community of Caritas, which Our Lady Herself requested to be formed in 1988, in the home of a Friend of Medjugorje and his wife. The Community of Caritas’ mission is to live the messages of Medjugorje first and then spread the messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje to the world.

Everyone wants to set there own standards for God instead of following his standards. What a pity for lost souls and souls of his church in which he searches these times through his angels.

This is a gorgeous holy place. We feel God led us here. As we just came upon it accidentally. They publish many Catholic religious books and sell them reasonably. They take many pilgrimages back to Medjugorje. Please visit Caritas if you can.

Hi Community Advisors of Caritas of Birmingham Alabama. You all belong to Our Lady under Her title Queen of Peace.
I lost my way since visiting Medjugorje in Holy Week and Easter of 1991. I’m finally living in a place of Peace and safety. My vocation has been to the Single State and I meet with persecution often. So I decided to live quietly in solitude with no social life. It’s perfect timing to start listening to Our Lady’s messages again and to live them to the end. Please pray for me that Our Lady have success with me. Then maybe I will become worthy to spread her messages here where I live.

My son is at Caritas right now June 30, 2023 through July 6, 2023. He is soooo enjoying himself there and said yesterday on July 2, he saw the Miracle of the Sun. How AWESOME!!!! He was also there, with my husband, in June 2021 for the anniversary. I am hoping someday to go there too!

This is truly a place of conversion. It is amazing that in a 5 day pilgrimage, the Community of Caritas can take you into the most beautiful places in your heart. There you will find “Truth,” that was lost somewhere along the way. You will discover a “Joy” like no other. And you will feel the “Peace” that only a mother can give to her children.
I went to Medjugorje in 2018, and it was very beautiful, the crowds were incredible! However, I must say that my experience at the Community was a “Spiritual Revival,” one that I desperately needed, but was blind to that fact. I have started living right again, I do remember you Mother Mary! Thank you for remembering me, my heart is filled with gratitude.
