The Nine Days Before Christmas Novena will be a powerful Christmas tradition. For Christmas 2014, a Friend of Medjugorje was asked to do a few brief meditations in the days preceding Christmas. He went into the Radio WAVE studio and spontaneously did the first meditation. The meditations turned into something unexpected and immediately became very popular. From there, nine short meditations were birthed that moved the hearts of those who listened to them. Together, the series of meditations turned into a nine-day novena, ending with a tenth meditation on Christmas Day. A Christmas novena! A novena that you can pray for nine days, beginning December 16th as a traditional prayer each year and prepare for Christmas as you never have before. Our Lady said:
December 18, 1983
“In this novena for Christmas, pray as much as you can. I ask you.”
And again on December 15, 1989:
“Prepare yourselves spiritually and physically for the Christmas Novena…”
The following novena requires both meditations and the audio to be prayed as a family in prayer beginning December 16th and ending December 25th, Christmas Day. If you are beginning late, start from Day 1 and continue after Christmas for the full 9 days. Hopefully your whole family can pray together. But if you cannot, Our Lady told us it is still good if only one of you can pray. “The lost family is one where no one prays, no one fasts, and no one sacrifices. The more members of a family who pray, fast, and sacrifice, the more peace and happiness the family experiences.”
IMPORTANT: Do not skip ahead in the audio, nor in the novena. Let it be revealed each day, giving time to contemplate that day’s meditation until the next day. Each day is a gift to be unwrapped to receive the grace, that, with an open heart, you can receive graces, growing your family toward Christmas peace. Our Lady comes to change the heart; to birth prayer into the family anew. In order to gain the greatest graces through this novena, it is necessary to give time in prayer.
Instructions Before Beginning:
The Nine Days Before Christmas Novena includes nine short audio reflections (with music) on Our Lady’s messages with a Friend of Medjugorje. Begin the novena by first listening to that specific day’s short meditation by a Friend of Medjugorje. It is important that you do not listen to the next day’s meditation until the appropriate date. The novena meditations should unfold for you each day. After each audio meditation, read the corresponding day’s novena prayer followed by the family Rosary in this novena.
*TO REITERATE—IMPORTANT: This gift is not meant to be “opened” all at once, but rather listened to as a reflection for prayer, one meditation each evening, or other time of the day, in order to receive the fullness of what is being prayed for and placed into life, until the next day’s meditation. Once this novena is finished, do not listen to this audio or pray the novena again until next December 16 -25th! Pack it away with your Nativities, Advent wreaths and decorations, so that it ages away from your memory until the next year through the songs and meditations. It will then be fresh and Our Lady will speak to you differently each year. It will prove itself to you, of its ability to address your family each year in regard to where you are spiritually! A CHRISTMAS GIFT EACH YEAR!
The Nine Days Before Christmas Novena in Preparation…
…for the birth of Holiness and Love in your family. Christmas is about family. It began with the first Holy Family 2000 years ago. In the Poem of the Man-God 1 by Maria Valtorta, Jesus says how powerful a family can be:
“…You are like one family. When does a family thrive and when does the world admire it? When its members are united and of the same mind. If one son becomes the enemy of another, if one brother harms another, is it possible for the prosperity of that family to last long? No. In vain the father of the family strives to work, to smooth down difficulties, to impose himself on the world. His efforts are not successful, because the wealth of the family falls to pieces, their difficulties increase, the world laughs at their perpetual quarrels by which hearts and possessions [fall apart]— which, if you were united, were powerful against the world. [Instead, they] are broken into a small knot of tiny opposite interests, and the enemies of the family take more and more advantage of them to hasten their ruin. You must never be like that. Be united. Love one another. You must love one another…”
The family must love one another to help one another. Our Lady’s plans are to teach us this. We must love first in the family.
June 6, 1985
“…I am calling you to love: love first of all your own household members…”
Love achieves everything. Love achieves what is most impossible. If Christmas is about anything, it is about love. You must decide for love and you must have the will to love your neighbor, to experience the real Christmas. If you do not do that, you cheat yourself, you cheat your family and your path is one of ruin with the culture and the way it is going. So a family that loves is a powerful family that conquers the world. Love leads to Glory.

And They Were Happy
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
Our Lady is coming to restore the family to the strength of its roots. What is the family’s root? God. Renew family prayer to renew your roots. Put your origin back to God from the beginning to the end.
December 14, 1992
“…I invite you in a very special manner to renew your family prayer; and during your family prayer, dear children, read especially the special passages in the Bible that concern Advent…”
When we don’t have God as our root, then we can’t be happy. But if we have God as our root, knowing that we origin from Him, our purpose and our life are Him and when He is first in our life, then no matter the circumstances, we can be happy.
December 14, 1992
“…Remember, dear children, how we were happy in the stable when my Son was born! May your family be happy and all those present in the stable.”
Our Lady is saying to read the Scriptures to know, no matter what your circumstances are to, ‘Look at what Our circumstances were at Advent and how happy We were.’ No matter what your situation is, you can be happy. You can be satisfied, because love gives everything, and just as love was born in the family 2,000 years ago, it can be reborn in your family today.
December 14, 1992
“…Pray, dear children, especially during this time, and amongst your prayers prepare yourselves for the great day that is coming, that this Christmas will be different from the other Christmases…”
Be preparing through prayer for Christmas, and you will experience it like never before. It doesn’t cost anything, you don’t have to go anywhere, you don’t have to do anything but be united with God in prayer, in preparation for that time. A holy Christmas all depends on you.
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.
The following words about consecration2 and the prayer that comes afterwards are to be prayed daily in this novena. These words were first prayed by Medjugorje visionary, Marija in June, 1987, in the presence of the married couples who were part of a Caritas of Birmingham pilgrimage.
Marija’s words on consecration:
“I shall recommend all of you to the Blessed Virgin. I want each of you to start living a new life so that each of you will become Our Lady’s witnesses and that you will take this consecration seriously. Our Lady says that every family is like a small church. You have to grow spiritually, but it is impossible for an individual to grow spiritually. We have to grow together in our holiness and in that way we shall become united and unity is what Our Lady wants. Our Lady always says that it is very important for us to set an example by our way of living for one another and that is the way we shall show one another the way to holiness. God bless you.”
A prayer of consecration during nine days, to be prayed before the Rosary:
Prayer to Heal Our Family
My Lord, I plead You tonight for my family. I plead You to bless us, to take care of us and to show us which way leads to salvation. My God, it is Your will that every single one of us will be changed, that our lives may become Your life; and tonight, my God, I am giving my family to You and I plead You, You embrace us and lead us, because You can do everything, You are Almighty. From this night on, I am giving my family to You and I plead You, give us Your blessing tonight because we are not strong enough to carry our burden alone, and I plead You my Lord, set us free from other ways but Yours. Let us be turned only towards You, towards Your will. Let us do only what You would like us to do. Let us always search for Your will; and I plead You, my Lord Jesus, give my family Your blessing tonight. Amen.

The Family Rosary
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit
Apostles Creed, 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be
The Five Joyful Mysteries3
1. The Annunciation
In a simple, plain, little house the angel Gabriel appears to Mary the Virgin. History divides from the old to the new, a conception of a new time begins. The world continues its ways of placing only human importance on its own history. To this day, no attention is given to one of history’s greatest moments.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
2. The Visitation
The Virgin Mary Visits Elizabeth, Mother of John the Baptist — the greatest prophet, who would say he is not worthy to undo the sandals from the Christ. O, how then can it not be said, “Who am I that the Mother of my Lord comes to me,” daily, to give me Her blessing. Unworthy as I am Mother, bless me, O Queen of Peace.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
3. The Birth of Jesus
The Birth of Our Saviour—If today’s world considered the poor planning of parents who would place themselves in a condition to give birth in a stable for animals, it would judge the parents to be miserable and abusive. Our Lady wants every family to be happy, even when life’s conditions put them in the stable. Our Lady said on December 14, 1992:
“…Remember, dear children, how we were happy in the stable when my Son was born! May your life be happy and all those present in the stable.”
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
4. The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
A day of routine in the temple. The duty of a Jewish couple, presenting their child in the temple, goes unnoticed by the world. How is it today, Our Lady’s apparitions go unnoticed by the world? Just as Jesus became known to all the world, so will it be in the future of Our Lady’s presence. She, who visits us daily in this Her time, is coming to the earth to save it. Great will be the regret of those who missed the time of grace.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
5. Jesus is Found in the Temple
Twelve-Year-Old Jesus Teaching the Scribes — as a child, they believed Him to be Divine, even the Messiah, and they were awed by Him. Later, as a Man, they believed Him to be beelzebub, and they hated Him. Your witness will be more accepted, as was the Child Jesus, as Our Lady’s little children. The world can accept truth from a child easier than from an adult, even though he was Divine.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).

Will Our Lady Be Able to Do What She Wants?
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
What prevents your heart from receiving Jesus? What is false within it? Many individuals and families are so busy, they have no room for Christ, they have no room for the Season. There is no space, no place; everything is full in the heart. Our Lady’s messages call us to make that room, to open our hearts that Jesus may be born in them. This Christmas, unplug yourself from all the distractions to restore yourself, as Our Lady said. Do you think Our Lady has some higher meaning when She tells us:
November 25, 1988
“I call you to prayer for you to have an encounter with God in prayer…during the day find yourself a special time when you can pray in peace and humility and have this meeting with God, the Creator…”
In this season, we need to be contemplating these words of Our Lady and the purpose of them.
April 25, 1993
“…I invite you all to awaken your hearts to love. Go into nature and look how nature is awakening and it will be a help for you to open your hearts to the love of God the Creator…”
December 25, 1988
“Today I give you my special blessing…so that all Creation will know peace…”
This is where we will be restored. This Christmas make room for Jesus in the inn, unplug, look at what distracts your life, what tears you apart. Think about where you are not being able to listen to Him because of so much false glitter of things that are not real. Trade what is not real for what is real…
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.
A prayer of consecration during nine days, to be prayed before the Rosary:

The Five Sorrowful Mysteries
1. The Agony
The rock where Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane is still there. Millions of souls have prayed there with hands upon this rock where Jesus’ blood seeped from His flesh. It is enough to know it is there, as your rock to hold onto in every circumstance.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
2. The Scourging at the Pillar
Jesus’ flesh is lacerated for every sin of the flesh, from Adam to the last man who will walk the earth
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
3. The Crowning with Thorns
Jesus wears the Crown of Humiliation and is silent, though truly, He is King.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
4. The Carrying of the Cross
The most famous street in the world is the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus walked to Calvary for man’s salvation. For those who have seen it or have had the honor of walking down the Via Dolorosa, it is incomprehensible that we can take the steps that Jesus took, walking in His footsteps. Reflect, as you carry your cross, that you are walking the steps down the Via Dolorosa.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
5. The Crucifixion
The split of man, one thief goes to the Light, the other towards darkness and Jesus dies.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).

Through the Eyes of the Mother
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
Our Lady wants conception. She wants to birth something inside of you, into your very soul, into your very being. This Christmas, look at Jesus through the eyes of the Mother — ‘The’ Mother who has come to bring us peace, to cause us to be born in holiness, just as She said She, ‘bore Jesus in the womb.’
December 25, 1991
“…You say that Christmas is a family feast, therefore, dear children, put God in the first place in your families so that He may give you peace and may protect you not only from war, but also during peace, protect you from every satanic attack …”
It is interesting that Our Lady talks about the family and then She talks about war. Why is that? Because it is obvious that war comes from the family. And the family today is in war. What kind of Christmas will you experience this year? What awaits you? Are you preparing in prayer? Are you ready for what’s coming? Our Lady said:
January 25, 1996
“…peace is the gift of God…the fruit of peace is love and the fruit of love is forgiveness…before all else forgive in the family and then you will be able to forgive others…”
If you cannot forgive in the family first, you cannot live peace in the world. Our Lady said:
March 25, 1995
“…There is no peace, little children, where there is no prayer, and there is no love where there is no faith…”
Without faith, there is no love, without love, there is no prayer, without prayer, there is no peace.
April 25, 2009
“…pray for peace and to witness it in your families so that peace may become the highest treasure on this peaceless earth…”
This peace is available to you in your family.
November 25, 2002
“…Open your heart to God, little children, through Holy Confession, and prepare your soul so that Jesus can be born anew in your heart…”
What is Our Lady? Who is Our Lady? Once you understand that, you will know Who is Christ and What He is. How She saw Him, how She grew up with Him, how She lost Him in the Temple, how She formed Him, how She influenced Him. Jesus’ Mother watched Him grow up from a carpenter to a Savior, to being Crucified, back into Her arms at His death…
This Christmas, we need to look at Jesus through the eyes of the Mother, The Mother who has come to bring us peace, to cause us to be born in holiness, just as She said She bore Jesus in the womb. Are you wanting that, do you want to experience a real Christmas this year? Always, always, She saw the Man as Her little Child. Our Lady wants to hold your family, especially if it is broken, just as She held the broken body of Her Son.
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.

The Five Glorious Mysteries
1. The Resurrection
Not even at the Resurrection did the lies stop. The two soldiers on guard were paid to lie that Jesus’ followers carried Him off. Today, it is the same. Even today, the lies about Jesus and His followers who remain true to Him will not cease in this life.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
2. The Ascension
Jesus ascends before the eyes of His most ardent followers. Could these men of flesh comprehend the moment? Can we comprehend Our Lady’s daily ascension?
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit
Truth in Its fullness envelops the souls waiting in the Upper Room. Our Lady said:
October 21, 1983
“…When you have the Holy Spirit, you have everything…”
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
4. The Assumption
The Holy Virgin Mary is carried bodily into Heaven and transfigured — the Mother, the Woman, despite who She was, could not in Her humility, comprehend how great Her place would be in Heaven. So it is for man, who cannot comprehend the vastness and breadth of what awaits him in Heaven. Our Lady said on February 25, 1988:
“…in Heaven you shall receive the Father’s reward which He has promised you…”
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
5. The Coronation of Our Blessed Mother in Heaven as Its Queen
The great feast in Heaven—Mary is crowned Queen…with all the Heavenly Court in attendance. Our Lady said from the Bedroom of Apparitions on November 26, 1988:
“…If you pray for my intentions, I will be glorified through you…”
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).

Be Brave This Christmas
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
Our Lady’s call for the conversion of the world, for the salvation of mankind, is through the family. It is through the family that She wishes many of the future fruits of Her plans to be fulfilled. Our Lady’s messages are not ‘wait and see.’ Don’t wait for the Church to approve Medjugorje, that then you are going to act. Many people have misconstrued, during this Christmas season and preceding this for the last year and a half, that we can’t promote Medjugorje, that we shouldn’t speak about it. This is not what Our Lady is saying:
August 25, 1991
“…understand now the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation…”
January 16, 1986
“…I pray you, obey and live the Mother’s invitation…”
1987
“…I ask of you that you accomplish what I show you.”
February 25, 1997
“…I invite you in a special way to open yourselves to God the Creator and to become active…”
Do you realize the situation we are in at this moment in the whole world? Our Lady said:
December 25, 1987
“…I call you today with great seriousness to obey me and to do as I am calling you…”
May 25, 1996
“…I also wish that you all become active during this time that is through Me…”
This time is through Her. Do you realize what is going on? What the Heavenly Father is doing in sending Our Lady? What does this have to do with Christmas? Our Lady has a plan for you.
February 2, 2009
“…Your Father is sending me and is waiting. He is waiting for your open hearts to be ready for His works…”
Wow. And you want to wait when God is showing us this is it, this is the moment, act!? Think about that, “…Your Father is sending me and is waiting for your open hearts to be ready for His works…” This is not something far off in the future. These apparitions cannot be looked at in the context of Fatima, wait until the Church approves it. This is the “now” plan. This is it. This is forever affecting people’s eternity. We are not to wait. We are to be very brave, not to be afraid.
June 1, 1983
“…Do now everything you can so that the world can be converted…”
That is this moment. Medjugorje is not a plan to be put on hold. Medjugorje is a plan that Our Lady said:
February 25, 1995
“…Today I invite you to become missionaries of my messages that I am giving through this place which is dear to me…Live with love the messages I give and…transmit them to the whole world…”
That is Medjugorje. That is the village. That is the plan for the whole world. Anybody connected to that is connected to Medjugorje and Our Lady’s messages. You better be brave. Proclaim Our Lady, Medjugorje, and Her messages at the markets and wherever you are shopping. Don’t be frightful or scared or timid. Put what is in your heart on your tongue. Yes, speak with tact and don’t be crass about it.
Once you understand the principles Our Lady is calling you to, you grasp it is not just about the Medjugorje message. You are the message. You are the carrier of that message, and you are to confront everything in the culture that is anti-Christ or that neutralizes Him.
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.

The Family Rosary
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit
Apostles Creed, 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be
The Five Luminous Mysteries4
1. The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan
The Baptist was working in the water in his daily routine. Looking up as he poured the water upon another head, he looked eye to eye at what he was born for. Be prepared to see Jesus. Our Lady of Medjugorje said:
March 17, 1989
“…Prepare yourself to look at Jesus ‘eye to eye’…”
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
2. The Miracle at the Wedding Feast of Cana
Every conversion is an un-wedding, emptying our vessel that life has filled us with, and at the same time, it is a wedding, filling our vessel with a new sweetness of wedding our life to God. Christ’s first, His most beautiful miracle was at a wedding feast where He performed a miracle through Our Lady. Our Lady is doing the same today through Medjugorje. She performs miracles through Her Son’s action, by Her simply calling for it. Call Her. Our Lady said:
March 4, 1982
“…If you have any problems, whatever it be, call me. I will come immediately and help you…”
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
3. The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God and the Call to Conversion
Our Lady gave a proclamation on January 25, 1987:
“…BEHOLD, also today I want to call you to start living a new life as of today…”
Scripture verifies the Second Coming will not occur until every man upon the earth will have heard of Jesus. Our Lady said:
June 25, 2007
“…God desires to convert the entire world..”
Our Lady is here to proclaim and fulfill the public revelation of Her Son’s return. Are you proclaiming Her proclamation‘s’ and Her call to others?
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
4. The Transfiguration
On the mountain of Tabor, Jesus, a man, a human being and God, removed His ‘human’ form, His ‘being,’ leaving purely a Divine ‘being’. Transfigured. Our Lady does not want you to keep being the ‘being’ you are. Her call is to be transfigured into a reflection of the Divine—so much God in you, as to appear as a Christ to others. Our Lady said on Cross Mountain:
June 24, 1986
“You are on a Tabor…”
One can climb the mountain in prayer and be transfigured and be a ‘Jesus’ to others. Our Lady said on February 15, 1988:
“Be the reflection of Jesus…”
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
5. The Institution of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper
The most beastly man, at least once in his life, will have experienced seeing a baby that brought a smile on his face and a joy to his heart. The sorrow surrounding the Last Supper is to be cancelled by the Institution of the Eucharist. When sorrow engulfs you through life situations, approach the altar knowing the little Baby born 2,000 years ago, Who embraced the shepherds’ hearts, is about to embrace you at that moment. If the most beastly, hardened man can be moved…how much more can we as we receive Him at the altar. Be relieved of your burdens and sorrows and receive joy.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).

If Christmas is About Anything, It’s About…
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
This is the problem today, we are indoctrinated. Our whole views of our holy days, our holidays, whatever it might be – our work, the schools…there is an indoctrination taking place. We have to find out, through love, the reasons things are the way they are. With all the things that assail us, that make us think the wrong way, Our Lady wants us to think the simple way. And all we have to do is love to achieve that. Love achieves everything. Love achieves what is most impossible. If Christmas is about anything, it’s about love. You must decide for love, and you must have the will to love your neighbor to experience the real Christmas. If you do not do that, you cheat yourself, you cheat your family, and your path is one of ruin with the culture and the way it is. Love is the fabric for everything. Without it, you can achieve nothing. Our Lady says with love you will achieve everything.
Our Lady said December 19, 1985:
“…The more you will to love your neighbor, the more you shall experience Jesus especially on Christmas Day…”
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.
The following words about consecration and the prayer that comes afterwards are to be prayed daily in this novena.

Apostles Creed, 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be
The Five Joyful Mysteries

In a Hurry…
Going Nowhere
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
When we constructed our home, we moved in and then built it. Construction is one thing, building is another. You construct a house, you build a home. Many have never built their home. They never had that. We have a whole world that is broken because of that. We have the lack of family. We do not understand it anymore. We are lost. Our Lady said:
November 25, 2014
“…Pray, little children, so that you may comprehend who you are and where you need to go…”
There is no future without Christ. There is no future without family, and there can be no future without Community. This Christmas trek out, just as the three wise men, and find the Christ-child. Put Him in your house and make it a home. Change everything in your life and change everything around you. Build the world in the place Our Lady calls you to be.
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.

O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).

Make This Christmas Different This Year
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
How is Our Lady coming? Why is She coming? She tells us:
March 25, 1990
“…As I bore Jesus in my womb, so also, dear children, do I wish to bear you unto holiness…”
October 9, 1986
“…I do not want to compel you to be saints by force…”
November 2, 2012
“…I am praying that you may discern everything around you according to God’s Truth and to strongly resist everything that wants to distance you from My Son…”
How many steps in preparation for Christmas, as opposed to how much materialism have you prepared for that has not allowed you to go to the level of thinking that Our Lady calls you to.
December 25, 1989
“…therefore little children, accept… with seriousness and live the messages, for your soul not to be sad when I will not be with you anymore and when I will not guide you anymore like an insecure child in his first steps…”
September 2, 2006
“…God is great…Great are His works…do not deceive yourselves that you can do anything without Him, not even take a single step…”

Do a Family Evaluation
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
Our Lady told us something interesting on December 2, 2014. She said it is not easy to live the Bible. Why is that? Because it requires three difficult things for us to do. Our Lady says they are love, forgiveness and sacrifice. They are not easy, because these things are a purification of self. The family today needs purification. In other words, it needs love, forgiveness and sacrifice. But it does not have to start with the whole family. One individual can begin in their heart to love and to forgive and to sacrifice, purifying themselves, and then spread it to the rest of the family.
To live the Bible means that your family is not to be introverted. It is to be proactive, extroverted. How else will you be able to live the mentality that Jesus calls for in the Gospel before He ascends: to witness to the ends of the earth? The family is to help populate Heaven. But not just with the goal of your family alone making it to Heaven, but rather your family becoming a formed body for an extroverted evangelization of its witness. No, the family is not to continue to live introverted, living for itself alone, but extroverted, living for a purpose to help others.
December 2, 2014
“…to live my Son means to live the Gospel. This is not easy…”
This Christmas go through an evaluation. What do you need to do? How can you affect the community of the family, that the community around you will be attracted to you and want to be part of your family.

Apostles Creed, 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be
The Five Luminous Mysteries

What is it You
Need the Most?
Read the following brief recap of the central points on the messages of today’s audio before praying the Family Rosary.
The Virgin Mary had the joy of being the Woman by means of which peace was re-established between Heaven and earth. Can you imagine what She felt, that She was the tie that brought forth the reconciliation of man with God. What kind of joy did She experience, desiring this peace for God and for man? What joy She must have felt, that it would be coming through Her for the whole world. She told us on December 25, 1988:
“…It is for this peace that I have come as your Mother, the Queen of Peace…”
Our Lady, the Queen of Peace and Reconciliation, has a plan for your family this Christmas. Peace comes from God. Does your family need peace? Our Lady said:
December 25, 1988
“…Glorify the Nativity of Jesus through the peace that I give…Today I give you my Special Blessing so that all creation will know peace…”
Nativity means “coming into life.” You are in the nativity of the birth of Christ tonight. On this Christmas Eve, what is it you need the most? Do you want to experience Christ’s birth in your family? God wants to give you a miracle. Our Lady wants to be in your home. Our Lady said:
Spring, 1982
“…If it is necessary, I will appear in each home…”
This holy night, this Christmas Eve night, put Christmas in a different perspective in your heart. Challenge yourself. Make resolutions for the New Year to open your heart to such a degree that Our Lady will be able to enter into it in a special way.
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.

Tonight a special family Rosary follows.
Step 3.
The Family Rosary
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit
Apostles Creed, 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be
The Five Marian Mysteries5
On this Feast of the Nativity of Christ, contemplate the creation of She Who preceded the Messiah, Who is the Virgin Mary through Whom the King of Peace entered a family 2,000 years ago and is coming today to the earth. She comes to enter into your family, bringing with Her true Peace to the hearts of men.
1. The Creation of Mary
God, all-powerful and all knowing, knew He would be betrayed. He knew when He formed man, that this perfect creature made in His image, would destroy in him all that is good and holy. He knew the gifts He would give man would be used for evil rather than to elevate the creatures He so loved. Even in the beginning, He foresaw the wars, the infidelities, the murders, the impurities, the greed and the jealousies that would consume man. And at the moment He breathed life into Adam, He knew there would be Calvary; there would be the Cross; there would be His Blood poured out for man’s ransom and his salvation.
Yes, God foresaw all this. And yet He smiled. For in the midst of all this destruction, there would be one perfect Flower, a Creature of His own, a soul so pure, so beautiful and lovely, so filled with the best of Who God is, the creation of this one Creature, would be God’s consolation. A soul who would love Him with perfect devotion, even accompanying Him all the way to death’s door without counting the cost of Her own sacrifice.
The creation of Mary. A mystery so deep and so wide that if we had a thousand years to contemplate it, we still could not comprehend the love that formed the Woman Who was given to us by God as our own Mother.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
2. Mary is Given to Joachim and Anne
Joachim and Anne; a man and a woman; a husband and a wife; a home silent and empty, childless. An ordinary couple—hardworking, faithful. A home in which God is loved, even though He has denied their married love the gift of children. And though they are old, past the age of having babies, this ordinary couple prayed an extraordinary prayer. They hoped beyond hope. They believed beyond belief. They asked again, even though they had asked a hundred times before.
Joachim and Anne; a man and a woman; a husband and a wife, became a father and a mother. They who believed God had forgotten them were given the most beautiful Rose from God’s garden. It seems to be God’s delight to choose simple, ordinary, humble people for His greatest plans. Joachim and Anne, the father and mother of Mary. Mary, their daughter, the Queen of all Heaven and Earth.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
3. The Birth of Mary
It has been told that a violent storm arose the day of Mary’s birth. Thunder roared, hail rained down and lightning flashed all around. But at the moment of Her birth, at the sound of Her first cry, the storm was subdued and a most beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky that seemed to encompass the whole of Israel. A large star appeared shining as bright as a diamond and a full moon rose to take its place among Heaven’s array, all of creation seemed to come alive at the entrance of Mary in the world.
And who can describe the beauty of this infant child? It has been said, that God patterned creation after the beauty of Mary, Whom He created in His thought, even before the world was created. The sky and the deep sea were given the shade of blue from Mary’s eyes; the rose was made like silk from the smoothness of Mary’s skin; the shades of pink in sunsets were matched to Her rosy cheeks; the cooing of turtle doves echoed the sweet sounds of an infant Mary being rocked to sleep.
There has never been a more beautiful soul created by God. And God gave Mary to us, knowing that if we only take the time to contemplate Her beauty and goodness, our souls cannot help but be elevated towards holiness, light and joy. How blessed we are to spend this Birthday with Our Lady in contemplating Her creation.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
4. Mary, the Love of God
Even as an infant, Mary remembered God. She loved Him always with all Her heart. To Joachim and Anne it was obvious, from the beginning, that this child was special and belonged to God. They knew they were only given guardianship over Her for a short time, and that this soul was especially created for the purpose of loving God. And though they were Her parents, there was a mysterious bond She held with Her Creator that they could not penetrate or be a part of.
Mystics have told us that it was well worthwhile creating man and allowing him to exist, even though God knew he would fall, and then decreeing to forgive him, in order to have the Beautiful Virgin, the Holy Virgin, the Immaculate Virgin, the Loving Virgin, the Beloved Daughter, the Most Pure Mother, the Loving Spouse! There is no limit to the price God, Himself, would pay to possess the Creature of His delight, the light of His sun, the Flower of His garden. Even the price of the bitterness of man’s fall, which destined that His only Son would have to die. She, the brilliant star, whose requests He will not deny. She whose joy delights all of Heaven because Her joy flows into the joy of God, the light of Paradise. She mirrored Her future Son in Her Immaculate little soul, in the arms of Joachim and Anne as a baby, then holding their hands with Her first steps – a foreshadowing of the Holy Family. She, who was the cause of the jubilant cry of alleluias of all future generations unto generations who would call Her blessed – slept in a cradle, in a family, who appeared as an ordinary child, but who would be the Mother of One who would be the reason for the fall or rise of all. It doesn’t matter if many do not believe in Mary’s role. It does not make Her any less, for She is the resolute decision of God. Mary lived and walked, as a little child under the watchful eye of the Father whose supreme joy, even as God, could not contain or limit Himself in what He would bestow upon Her throughout all eternity. Mary, the little girl, our sweetness, and still our hope, we pray you into our hearts.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).
5. The Presentation of Mary
A three-year-old Mary is walking between Her father and mother through the streets of Jerusalem while people on the street stop to look at the beautiful girl all dressed in white. They proceed slowly, very slowly. Whoever sees them, must think the girl is with her grandparents or great grandparents—stooped over with dragging feet and a weary look caused by the pain of the sacrifice they are about to make.
>The Temple walls finally come into view and Anne groans holding Mary’s hand tighter as she realizes their journey has come to an end. How shall they let their little Flower go? The pain is unbearable.
Bravely, Mary kneels before them and with trembling lips and a voice that breaks with a sob, She asks for Her parents’ blessing, which they give and then kiss her: once, twice, ten times, they are never satisfied. Their tears flow freely.
The time has come. They approach a large, wide staircase leading up to the Temple. The High Priest standing at the top, awaits Mary as She begins to ascend the stairs…alone, away from Her parents. And though their hearts are breaking, Mary climbs the stairs with a smile, Her eyes alight with longing. Her heart was made to worship Her One and only Love. As the door closes between Mary and Her parents, so too does it close on the mystery of the Eternal Love shared between God and His dearest Creature—as Mary entered the Temple and stepped behind the veil.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be to the Father,
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer).

“…today in a special way with little Jesus…I am giving you the possibility to decide for peace. Through your ‘yes’ for peace and your decision for God, a new possibility for peace is opened…This century will be for you a time of peace and well-being…”
This Christmas is a time that God is not only giving you, but Our Lady is showing you to accept everything you experience with grace as a gift, even if it is bitter, even if it is the most difficult trial for your family this year. Our Lady said:
December 2, 2014
“…I am telling you that love will win..”
Your virtues, how you handle situations, is to pass into your family. Live virtue this Christmas and bring peace to your family. Our Lady said on February 21, 1982:
“Be together, do not argue..”
December 2, 2014
“…because around you, you see suffering, pain, jealousy, envy…”
December 25, 1981
“Love one another…Don’t argue among yourselves…”
Align yourself with the messages. Align yourself with the Bible. Align yourself with God…Our Lady is here to bring us together in our thought processes. You have to get rid of the undercurrent of disagreement from heart to heart. If you don’t do that, you will never experience peace. If you do do that, you will experience real peace that God calls us to, to be of one heart, one mind, and one thought. And that will enter into your family and into your heart and you will have a blessed, holy and happy Christmas. So on this special day of grace, a great day of grace, we wish to tell you Merry Christmas, but first, Merry Christmas to Mary. We wish you Our Lady. We love you. Have a Happy, Holy Christmas!
To be said daily:
Mary, we give you this novena for your intentions, for the rebirth of Jesus in our family, for the renewal of our family and for holiness. Renew us. Rebuild us. We ask that this Christmas be different from all other Christmases.
Amen.
Step 3.
The Family Rosary
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit
Apostles Creed, 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary’s, 1 Glory Be
The Five Joyful Mysteries
How to Pray the Rosary
St. Lucia, one of the Fatima visionaries, said, “There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot solve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.” A Medjugorje visionary said, “Our Lady can do anything, except when there is not enough prayer.” We can understand the state of the world today through the messages of Our Lady in Medjugorje. Our Lady has said:
January 25, 1991
“…God sent me to you so that I can help you. If you wish to, grasp for the Rosary. Already, the Rosary alone can do miracles in the world and in your lives…”
March 18, 1992
“…I beseech you to take the Rosary in your hands now more than ever before…”
August 14, 1992
“…in this time, I call you to pray the Rosary in your family…”
June 25, 1985
“I urge you to ask everyone to pray the Rosary. With the Rosary you will overcome all the troubles which satan is trying to inflict on the Catholic Church…”
January 25, 1991
“…God sent me to you so that I can help you. If you wish to, grasp for the Rosary. Already, the Rosary alone can do miracles in the world and in your lives…”
February 2, 1990
“Take your Rosary and get your children, your families with you…give your good example to your children…TAKE YOUR ROSARY AND PRAY IT…”

The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell: on third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated (or sitteth) at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.
The Hail Mary
Hail, Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be To The Father
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
O My Jesus (Fatima Prayer)
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
V. Pray for us O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
V. Our Lady Queen of Peace and Reconciliation.
R. Pray for us. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
1. The original prayer that Marija prayed for these couples, which can be read in the footnote #5, was adapted several years ago to include the entire family.
2. The meditations and pictures for the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries in this book are captions taken from the 54-Day Rosary Novena, written by a Friend of Medjugorje
3. The Luminous Mysteries meditations were written specifically for this novena by a Friend of Medjugorje
4. The following meditations were taken from the “Marian Mysteries of the Rosary,” by a Friend of Medjugorje, written in 2005 for Our Lady’s 2021st birthday in which we hosted a birthday party for Our Lady on August 5, 2005, with Our Lady present through Medjugorje visionary Marija’s presence. For the story of this special birthday celebration, order the audio CD “Remember When It Rained.”
5. A Friend of Medjugorje had gathered about 12 couples outside of St. James Church in Medjugorje after evening Mass. He had arranged for Medjugorje visionary, Marija to meet them. When Marija arrived, he had them form a tight circle around Marija and with their wedding rings in the palm of their hands, they consecrated their marriage to Our Lady. Marija then said the words above in such a profound way that all felt something supernatural happened. Our Lady’s presence was felt. Fortunately, a Friend of Medjugorje was recording this prayer Marija said in Croatian. The guide, who was a communist, was not a serious believer. When a Friend of Medjugorje asked her to translate the prayer, she tried but could not. Filled with emotion, she said it was impossible to translate. A Friend of Medjugorje asked if she would at least try to roughly translate the words. By then, crying, she said, “I cannot translate it now.” She finally said, “I’ll try to translate it and bring it to you tomorrow.” She did so, but in giving it said, “These are only words, compared to what was conveyed in the heart.” The guide converted instantly hearing and experiencing what happened the evening before.

Thank you for the Christmas novena. I just finished it today as I started it 4 days late. Will remember to do it on time next year. God Bless. Merry Christmas to everyone in the Caritas community.
