[NARRATOR]

“No one can serve two masters. He will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life– what you shall eat or drink– or about your body– what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

“Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap. They gather nothing into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you, by worrying, add a single moment to your life span?

“Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wildflowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will He not much more provide for you, oh you of little faith?

“So do not worry and say, what are we to eat? Or what shall we drink? Or what are we to wear? All these things the pagans seek. Your Heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

Of course, that’s Al Hirt, 1964. Now, many of you know about this song. But when it came out, it went like wildfire across the country. Everybody was playing it, all the bands, at the football games, parades. It was a big, big hit. It’s upbeat. Music has that power. And I would think those who have never heard that, it gives one an upbeat.

Of course, today is Thanksgiving, and there’s a lot to be reflecting and thinking about.

We launched, at twelve o’clock today, our Christmas songs. It consists of a list of songs that moves your emotion one way or the other. It could be upbeat, melancholy, or even sad.

Christmas is not always a joy for everybody, according to the way you were raised. You may have beautiful memories of Christmas in your family, and there are those who are depressed at Christmas.

What we launched today, every song was hand-picked. I go through all of them, songs that I’ve known for years and new songs that we find. We had somebody last year call us when we were going to close it up after the first of the year. They asked if we could stay on another week because they were going to do a Christmas party in the second week of January. It amazes me how everything shuts down, all the radio stations, the next day after Christmas, no Christmas music, when, in fact, that’s when they should be playing the music.

So, we’ll go well into January with our Christmas music. We’re not going to abort Jesus within a day or a week or even two weeks. The King didn’t come before He was born. He came afterwards. This Christmas, extend it in contemplation of what took place.

We don’t know where the world’s going. There’s a lot of people that are afraid. We got a feedback last night that came in from a guy who said he’s in a difficult situation. He said, “I’m fighting. I don’t want to live anymore. I’m asking for your prayers.” I told several of the Community people to be praying for the man throughout the night.

So, this is a season to start reflecting, reflecting on gratitude.

Cicero, the philosopher, said,

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of the virtues, but the parent to all others.”

And that matches the saints who tell us, “Gratefulness begets another favor.” If you gift wrap a shirt for Christmas, and you give this to your loved one, and they don’t say thank you, and they say, “Why did you buy me this? I don’t care for it.” Are you going to give them something next time? If you’re not grateful to God, do you think He’s going to give you gifts after gifts when you don’t appreciate it?

So, today, on Thanksgiving, we have a lot to be thankful for. Our Lady came for the first time in 1988. Our Lady didn’t appear hear except in the Bedroom. And I asked Marija to ask Our Lady to appear outside for a couple times, three times, maybe. I decided not to ask anymore because Our Lady didn’t say anything. I felt I was treading into a domain that I wasn’t supposed to. So, I dropped it.

A few days later, afterwards, Our Lady, out of the blue, on November 23, 1988, She says, “Tomorrow, I will appear in the Field where the pine Tree is, and you can invite everybody to come.”

We were stunned! Did you know that we didn’t even know it was Thanksgiving when it was the next day? We were so excited, and Our Lady, all the people that were coming around the House, hundreds of people, that we literally forgot it was Thanksgiving.

So, Our Lady went out there and gave a message, and in that message, it vindicated several things because people were saying, “Oh, Our Lady’s just following Marija. She’s not doing anything here.” She already converted many people, and several hundred people showed up. When She said the message, She cleared everything up. She says,

“I invite you to live my messages…”

And then She makes a statement showing, “I’m not following Marija here.” After She said that, the next sentence, She said, shows She’s not following because She says,

“…I am here…”

She’s in the Field.

“…to help you!…”

That was so much consolation. There was so much persecution going on. And then, She added to that,

“…I will intercede for you to God for all your intentions.”

So, Our Lady sanctified that place, a gathering to bring your attention to, and She’s here to help us.

Our Lady never went back out to the Field across those three months, and only appeared in the Bedroom of Apparitions.

Many nations have Thanksgiving Day on different places. We can say we’re the only place, the only nation in the world that Our Lady recognized the Day of Thanksgiving. That’s how powerful Her statement is. No other nation can claim that.

You might think, am I saying Our Lady favored our nation? Yes, She did, because now, the conditions of the world, the whole world is looking to the United States of America. The joy of today and being thankful and beginning our Christmas music, is for the purpose to bring joy to your Christmas.

A few years ago, I was flying into L.A. It was around this time of the year, and we were approaching Christmas. And here is another year that blows by, just like the wind. And many this year, you may not have a Christmas like you used to know, just like the upbeat song you heard start. Those joys are gone. The world’s changing. The United States is changing. Countries across the world are changing. Many people’s state of joy can be dampered because of what’s happening today. You might think, “I can’t even take another Christmas.”

As we approached L.A., we stayed low altitude and came in for a long, long ten minutes where I could see everything. And the altitude was low. This song came on, and it wasn’t by chance. It was Our Lady’s efficacy, because here it was, I was going to L.A., and I really didn’t want to go. But it will speak to the moment, and I think it will speak to you also.

[SONG]

Woke up to sun streaming in my room. Warm beach from palm December afternoon. You close your eyes, another year blows by. Somewhere in the wind, just another life.

My parents sent a Christmas card and tennis shoes. “We understand you staying, and we’re proud of you.” There’s a well-rehearsed disinterest in the atmosphere. I don’t know if that’s what this time gave me or if it led me here.

And I played so many parts. I don’t know which one’s really me. Don’t know if I can take

Another Christmas in L.A. Another pitcher of Sangria in an empty beach café. Another Christmas in L.A. Hold me tighter Carmelita. I don’t know how long I can stay.

Left a girl behind, and sometimes I wonder where she ended up. Maybe she got married, had a couple of kids. Who do you think you’re fooling man? Of course she did.

I’m walking in that tennis bar, try and talk with Harry Dean. I don’t know if I can take

Another Christmas in L.A. Another casting call on Thursday for a job that doesn’t pay. Another Christmas in L.A. Another burnout in a tank top. It seems your basket is the case. A fat protagonist in flip flops with an extensive resume. From Echo Park to Catalina.

Dreaming of a white Christmas, the one I used to know. Tree tops glisten, children listen to sleigh bells in the snow.

Another Christmas in L.A.

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

Christmas is approaching. Our Lady choreographed this for me. It comes in, and I’m over L.A. Don’t think I wasn’t reflecting. This song has stuck with me.

Many of you may know where you were twenty years ago, thirty, forty years ago when you heard a song. Just like that L.A. song. I remember this song perfectly because I was approaching L.A. It was imprinted on my heart.

There was another song, just like this, came along. My father died November 30, 2012. We looked at him as a great patriarch, a good father, a loving father. And this song came out of nowhere. We were doing the Rosary in the Field, and as Our Lady was having an apparition before Marija in Medjugorje, they played this song. It was the first Christmas without my father.

[SONG]

My father’s name was Joseph. He was a carpenter by trade. And as a kid, all I ever wanted was something he could never make. A white Christmas in Alabama only happens on TV. Daddy said, “Son if you really want one, close your eyes and dream

Of a snowman in Birmingham, and I’ll build him with you. A dream’s a gift the heart gives. Now and then, one comes true.

Driving home, it’s a cold December. First time that I’ve been back in years. I can’t believe dad ain’t gonna to be there. I’m looking back in time through these tears. Wishing to God that I could see him and say “I love you” one more time. Snowflakes falling on my windshield, and I can’t believe my eyes.

There’s a snowman in Birmingham. Dad I know you see him too. He’s got a carrot nose and your old brown hat. I guess the grandkids dressed him up like that. There’s a snowman in Birmingham. A miracle in white. There’s a snowman in Birmingham tonight. Tonight.

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

Did you know what happened with this song and what the words said? You know what Our Lady did? Snowflakes started falling down. That’s the efficacy of Our Lady. You can experience these things. Live for Her. These things happen constantly. Nothing’s by chance. That’s the first time I heard this song. God speaks to us many ways.

Many are anticipating Christmas with joy, and many people are dreading Christmas, even if they’re Christian, just like the feedback that the man asked us, “I’m fighting. I don’t want to live anymore. I’m asking for prayers.”

Our Lady is here on this earth to show us that we have a Father. Jesus called Him, “Abba.” “Abba” means “daddy.” Isn’t that incredible? Jesus Christ, He’s God, the Son of God, and He says, “Abba.” “Daddy.”

We have in the world today many tears, so many broken dreams, so many bad things going around us. Our Lady is here to show us, “You need daddy. You need Father.” We need God. There is more hate than love, and we’re coming to the season of Your Son’s Birthday. And if anytime this Christmas we need to ask Jesus for forgiveness. The Church is weak, which made the sheep weak. If we ever need God the Father, it’s this moment.

[SONG]

God, it’s safe to say it’s been a tough year, the hardest one we’ve ever seen. The world has never cried so many tears or had so many broken dreams. We’ve got some bad things going on around us. We’re killing each other senselessly. It seems we’ve learned to hate instead of love. I guess what I’m really trying to say

We need You. We need You. We need You. God, we need You.

I know soon it’s Your Son’s birthday, and You must cry when it comes around. He gave His life for us and a better way the day that Cross hit the ground. So when we celebrate this Christmas, I hope You’ll forgive us all somehow. And as our children open presents, I’ll be praying for them now.

They need You. They need You. (They need You) They need You. God, they need You. (God, they need You)

We need You to get us through. (Get us through) I need You. (I need You) God, I need You. (God, we need You)

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

In reality, songs are prayer to us. It speaks to us. As we pray to God, a song prays to us and moves our heart. The song says,

“I hope You’ll forgive us all somehow.”

This Christmas season, these songs can speak to you. But it’s not going to touch you if you don’t forgive, because God can’t forgive you if you don’t.

Five days ago, Ivan had an apparition in Louisiana. The whole Community went down so we could be in front of Our Lady. And he spoke before the apparition saying, quote,

“Put God in the first place in your life. Put your family in the first place. You’re walking together into the future. Without God, you have no future. Only through God can you have peace and love. You don’t talk about peace. You live peace. You don’t talk about prayer. You live prayer. Too many words today in the world. Our Lady needs action. Our Lady needs us. So many times, Mother is calling us. ‘I need you.’ ‘I need you, my dear children. Only with you I realize my plans for peace.’”

He continued. He says,

“The Mother calls all of us to prayer, especially for prayer in families.”

In the song you just heard, again, I repeat what it said.

“I hope You’ll forgive us all somehow.”

And that’s what Ivan says. He continues,

“In a special way, Our Lady is calling us to forgiveness. So many times, She repeats, ‘Forgive. Forgive, my children. Forgive yourselves. Forgive others.’ You need to open your heart to the grace of the Holy Spirit, only if you forgive. If you do not forgive, it’s not possible for you to heal. You cannot possibly be healed spiritually, emotionally, physically. Only if you forgive will you heal. The more you forgive perfectly, the more graces God can give you.”

There has been countless miracles here at this place, conversion, healing. And I want to invite you for your encounter with Our Lady, with God the Father, His Son. If we ever need what we need now, is God. We have forsaken Him. We need forgiveness. We created and contributed to this situation. It’s our sins is why everything is falling apart.

I extend to you a formal invitation.

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

When the apparitions started here in 1988, it was so mystical. We were stupefied by what was taking place.

When Our Lady appeared in the Field, people gathered there, and an apparition would take place in the Bedroom, and we would turn the light on when Our Lady came. And people would look to the south at the House, seeing it glowing, and they knew Our Lady was there. And when the apparition ended, we turned it off. It accentuated the experience, and it moved people very, very deeply.

There was a journalist that was in the Field on November, 1988 with the Birmingham magazine. And he published his experience:

[NARRATOR]

“One of the curious, I arrived on a November Sunday, as an early full moon hauled itself up over the blue Alabama hills. I walked a worn cattle trail down a hill and up a grassy rise, my feet raising the smell of new hay.

“On the hilltop, I paused, amazed. Below me spread a scene from El Cid or some other religious epoch of the screen. Three thousand people waited in that Alabama field, in a hollow that held them like a pair of gentle hands. Many here had been waiting all day. Now, these faces turned to the House where Marija lay waiting for her vision. A ruffle of emotions swept the crowd. The feeling leaped across the Field, a visible, physical jolt to some. The lights burned. Four minutes. Five minutes.

“The hillside settled, grew quiet. When the lights went off, a quick noise swept the throng and moved on, leaving reverence and quiet sobs.

“The writer, the observer, came back to life in me then and detached me from that remarkable experience. ‘Look around you. This is faith.’

“I glanced upward too. There, in the heavens, hung another unforgettable sight. Over the House and Field that night, the full moon wore a huge autumn halo, the largest I ever saw. Its circle of light seemed larger than the world.”

[SONG]

I want you to know, if you look south, you’ll see a glow.

Every light in the house is on. The backyard’s bright as the crack of dawn. The front walk looks like runway lights. It’s kinda like noon in the dead of night. Every light in the house is on. Just in case you ever do get tired of being gone, every light in the house is on.

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

We’ve had, through the years, people tell us over and over, when they turn off the highway to come back here after the experienced they had throughout the years, even when Our Lady’s not here, that they feel like they’re coming home.

For many, many years, we’ve had Christmas in the Field, December 8-12. At that time, I began turning the lights on in the House, not just the front porch light, but every light in the House. And it glows, and people look from the Field, on Christmas in the Field, and they see the House glowing. It’s a remembrance of those beautiful times Our Lady’s been here, not just 1988 and ’89, but the many times Our Lady’s come.

So, I want to tell you, just in case you ever do get tired of being gone, every light in the House is on on Christmas in the Field. And for you who have been away, make a spontaneous decision to come to your home and pray in the Bedroom of Apparitions and fill your heart with Our Lady. It refreshes you to see that House where Our Lady came, being in the Field, seeing all those lights on.

People have told us, Christmas night in the Field is the strongest part of their Christmas where they feel it.

[SONG]

Santa Maria, Maria, Maria…

[END CLIP]

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

It’s been a year since I’ve heard that, and it makes me want to come to it. And of course, I’m going to be here. Many people have been reborn here, strengthened, healed of many scars. Christmas is not a time of selfishness or being sad or saying goodbye to loved ones. So much hinges on forgiveness.

August 2, 2017, Our Lady says,

“…to love my Son means to forgive. My Son is not loved if the neighbor cannot be forgiven… My children, of what use is your prayer[s] if you do not love and forgive?…”

If you have unforgiveness in your heart, your prayers are useless. What a tragedy. You can skate away from it. You can’t float away in a boat on a river from it. You have to confront that, and this is the place to do that.

[SONG]

It’s coming on Christmas. They’re cutting down trees. They’re putting up reindeer, singing songs of joy and peace. Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on.

But it don’t snow here. It stays pretty green. I’m going to make a lot of money, and then I’m gonna quit this crazy scene. Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on. I wish I had a river so long.

I would teach my feet to fly. Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on.

I made my baby cry.

He tried hard to help me. You know, he put me at ease. Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on. But I’m so hard to handle. I’m selfish and I’m sad. Now I’ve lost the best baby that I ever had. Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on. I wish I had a river so long.

I would teach my feet to fly high. Oh, I wish I had a river that I could skate away on.

I made my baby say goodbye.

It’s coming on Christmas. We’re cutting down trees. They’re putting up reindeer, singing songs of joy and peace. Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on.

[INSTRUMENTAL]

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

You cannot skate away from your problems, and you certainly can’t skate away forgiveness. Our Lady said,

June 2, 2019

“…forgiveness is the most exalted form of love…”

Forgiveness is everything, and with the prayer the “Our Father” says, that if you don’t forgive, you will not be forgiven, because Jesus Himself died and forgave you everything. And you won’t forgive?

It’s Thanksgiving. Today, you’re at the table. And the most important thing at that table today that is served is forgiveness. You will never be happy. You will never experience joy in its completeness, and you won’t even go to Heaven if you don’t forgive.

So, when you come to the table today, give the perfect gift.

[SONG]

At this table, everyone is welcome. At this table, everyone is seen. At this table, everybody matters. No one falls between. At this table, you can say whatever. At this table, you can speak your mind. At this table, everything’s forgiven. There’s enough for everyone.

So come as you are. Remember that the door is always open. Yes, come as you are. The perfect gift that you could bring is your heart. So come, come as you are.

At this table, there will be no judgement. At this table, mercy has a seat. At this table, we’re all sons and daughters. There’s no place I’d rather be.

So come as you are. Remember that the door is always open. Come as you are. The perfect gift that you could bring is your heart. Come, come as you are. Come as you are.

At this table, everyone is welcome. At this table, everybody cares. At this table, everybody matters. So come, pull up a chair.

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

Ivan said, “The more you forgive perfectly, the more graces that’s given.” The song just said, “The perfect gift that you can bring is your heart.”

To help you go deep in Christmas, to really experience it, our Christmas music on Radio WAVE is filled with the type of songs you just heard. Make a memory every day. Think about where the world is, and be inspired by this music, put together all for you.

So, I greet, on this Thanksgiving Day, our community, each of the houses, the families, the Zios, the Zias, that we grow even more stronger, witnessing who Our Lady is, so that we know who we are. And to you out there, and my family, it’s the same I say: We wish you Our Lady. We love you, on this Thanksgiving. Good night.

This is so beautiful; thank you so much. I feel as though this is a song placed in my heart. This writing brings back the beautiful memories of the approximately half a dozen times I have visited there. I wish I could return this year, but my circumstances don’t allow for it. I also have tears, mixed sad and joyful ones. I can’t thank you enough for all the years of love and support, and of course, all the HARD WORK and trials you all have endured for our Lord, our Lady, and us! May our Lord and our Lady reward you abundantly for the rest of eternity! My love and prayers for the most rewarding Advent and Christmas season ever!

Dear Friend of Medjugorje, Thank you for your mission. I am grateful for all you do to present the message of Our Lady. The Holy Spirit inspires us to be closer to Our Lord and His Father – Our One True God. Mej.com inspires us to see God’s love in this world through the inspiration of prayerful music that “speaks” to the yearnings of our heart and soul to be one with our God, our family, friends, and neighbors.

There are no coincidences only our guiding Light when we open our hearts and minds to what is around us. The people we live with, the people we meet today, and the people we will meet. It is truly when we listen to God’s whisper in our hearts that we begin to see the gifts He gives us. And it is true…the more we forgive, the more peace we recieve from the graces poured out upon us for all the prayers we offer to our God. Tonight I had a desire to listen to songs for Christmas and did so for a few hours. A few hours later I listened to your broadcast. Amazing grace as much of what was said is what our Lady has been sowing. Grace for Her children to connect and continue to grow in Faith and share the gifts we receive from our God with one another. “Let there be PEACE on earth, the peace that was meant to be…” Continued prayers for the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. “Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of your faithful…” Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for your continued love for Our Lady and trusting in Her guidance as you continue to share Her messages. +Della

This Thanksgiving morning, as every morning for years, I do a random read from my “Words from Heaven” book and todays message was from December 22, 1989 (p.427 19th Edition) and it stated from Marija, “Our Lady says this Christmas should be the most beautiful Christmas of your life,” I thought WOW, WHY, HOW? I lost my Mother in 2015 and I lost my Father in 2020, so how is this Christmas suppose to be my most beautiful Christmas? Is this my last Christmas? Or my last Christmas as I’ve known Christmas’ past? Will me and the world enter this new time we much anticipate by next Christmas? At first, it sort of scared me but then I thought God is my pilot and is guiding me so why worry (If you pray why worry, if worry why pray?)
    God Bless all! Louis

Louis
