Marija’s Testimony July 4, 2023

“No one can serve two masters. He will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life– what you shall eat or drink– or about your body– what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

 

“Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap. They gather nothing into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you, by worrying, add a single moment to your life span?

 

“Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wildflowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will He not much more provide for you, oh you of little faith?

 

“So do not worry and say, what are we to eat? Or what shall we drink? Or what are we to wear? All these things the pagans seek. Your Heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

 

“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”

Welcome to Mejanomics.

 

Last week, we shared with you a Friend of Medjugorje’s encounter in front of the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages on July 4, 2023. This was during the Five Days of Prayer.

 

At the time, we were not able to share with you what immediately followed a Friend of Medjugorje’s talk, and that was this encounter with Medjugorje visionary, Marija. That is what you will be hearing tonight. And over the course of the next twenty minutes, Marija will share her testimony of her time with Our Lady.

 

Continue to be on the lookout for an update from a Friend of Medjugorje about the Five Days of Prayer. Some very significant things happened during that period of time, and a Friend of Medjugorje is in the midst of putting all that together, and we will be sharing that with you in the next week or so.

 

So, this is Medjugorje visionary, Marija, at Caritas of Birmingham July 4, 2023.

Marija! Come here.

My Marija, and her husband! [APPLAUSE]

 

Now, he’s going to tell you the truth about her. [LAUGHTER]

We wanted to be sure everybody can understand. She speaks very good English, but…I don’t know why she needs me.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

My English is not so good, she says.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Okay. We’re all together here joined in these days of prayer.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

I’m happy to be here with you, also to be able to share with you today the blessing of these apparitions of Our Lady with us.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

The presence of Our Lady is not just for me, but for all of us, for our families and for our nation.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

As Our Lady says, without God, you do not have future.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

So, we are all here, joined today, these days in prayer to ask God’s blessing and God’s protection…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…so that He can lead us and help us on the good way.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady says, go back to God. Go back to prayer. And so, it’s good that you have taken this decision to be here these days, to pray.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And to pray and to become prayer for all those who don’t pray, who don’t hope, and who don’t love.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady, in Fatima, started saying that we have to pray and to start praying for our families and for all the people that don’t pray in the world.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Many people who are our neighbors or who live in our families with us are in need of our prayer.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

That’s why we’re here.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

So, tonight, we want to ask Our Lady to grant us Her protection.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And we pray in a special way, also, for all those people that recommended themselves to our prayer.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

In a special way for the sick people and for all those who wanted to come but couldn’t come.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

We want to be prayer also for them.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady always says that our life on earth is short…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…and calls us to go back living prayer and living the Commandments of God.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

In fact, if we live in God’s will, we have the joy, and we have joy in our hearts.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady has come to tell us to start living Paradise here on earth…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…through our life, through our example…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…through our prayer.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

She wants each one of us to start that path, that way, She calls the way to holiness.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

She doesn’t call us to big, great things, but to everyday little things…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…to build up our life little by little…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…with God and with Her.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

We have seen from the beginning Our Lady has allowed us to fall in love with Her, to start following Her…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…taking us, in this way, to Her Son, Jesus.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

She took us to a way of conversion.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

I remember when She said to us once that we could get close and stretch our hands and touch Her, and we could see that when people touched Our Lady, we could see stains remaining on Her dress.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

None of us wanted Her dress to become dirty.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

So, we decided to follow Her advice to take a priest as a spiritual advisor…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…and to start work on the way to conversion…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…going constantly to Confession…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…changing our life from bad to good…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…being every day more attached to spiritual things and the things of God and less to the material ones.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady says our life is short here on earth.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

So, I remember with great joy how we ourselves and our families decided to change life and to begin to go to church more often.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

We had the beasts. We had the animals. We were taking care of our animals. We left them more food and more water, and we decided to go to church and stay there for a longer time.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

We took the decision to make a good Confession.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

That was the beginning of a new life.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

We started to follow Our Lady and to put in practice what She was asking from us.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

She didn’t ask for great things, as I said, but small, little, everyday things. Everyday life.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

I remember once, a man came from Italy. He was a great sinner. And he decided he wanted to build a big basilica on the spot of the apparitions…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…in reparation for his sins.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady said we don’t need big basilicas. We need hearts…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…and started to call us to conversion, to holiness.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

All along these years, She has started calling us, “Dear children,” and calling us to this way of holiness.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Every message She gives, She ends by saying, “Thank you for having responded to my call.”

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Because She considers us like Her children.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

She says, in a special way, priests are Her beloved children.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And She says, pray for them and help them.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

This does not mean that we are not Her beloved children. All of us can become beloved children as long as we embrace the Commandments and embrace the life with God.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

These days, in a special way, when the Church is under attack…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…Our Lady wants us to become salt and light for other people…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…and announce and witness the joy of the Risen Christ.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

For this reason, Our Lady’s here with us to tell us that God hasn’t forgotten us. He loves us, and His big sign of love is sending us His Mother to help us…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…to tell us He loves us, and our life has to be a call to eternity.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And I feel to tell you in this way, in this day, in a special way, that when you go back to your houses and to your families…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…you have to go back with humbleness and with joy…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…with prayer and with a feeling of being a blessing for all the people around you, in your families, in your places of work…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…with a sweetness, as Our Lady is sweet and beautiful. That’s why, I remember, once, we asked Our Lady, “Why are you so beautiful?”

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And Our Lady answered, “I’m beautiful because I love.” (March 25, 1985)

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And I think every one of us can become more love for other people.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And if we love, we shall receive love. If we bless, we shall receive blessing from other people.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

I think your nation needs a lot of blessing.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And God is asking you to become blessing for the rest of the people.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

To be the yeast that can make a change and share joy and love with other people.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

For this reason, we ask Our Lady to give us the strength to become strong and good witnesses of our faith…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…especially in these days of great confusion.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady asks us to be straight, to be sweet, and to be loving.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Our Lady says, “God allowed Me to be between you, among you.”

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And we see this great respect and commitment to the fulfillment of God’s will.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

We see this every day, when Our Lady appears. She calls us, more and more, to be open to God’s will.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

When we live God’s will in our heart, then we have peace.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

We have no distractions.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

So, let’s be united in prayer, particularly today in this special, special day for your nation.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

As we did this morning when we prayed the Patriotic Rosary for the gift of unity.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

So, we keep on asking God to give us strength to be witnesses with what remains of our life.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

Because, as it’s written in the Holy Scripture, 70 years is life of man, 80 for the more…for the stronger ones.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

So, life is short.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

And Our Lady asks us to take our life as a training to holiness.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

For this reason, She calls us to go back to prayer, every day.

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

That may our prayer become blessing for everybody…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…especially for this nation…

 

[MARIJA SPEAKS]

[TRANSLATION]

…today in a special way.
