In 35 years of daily apparitions in Medjugorje, is Our Lady saying anything new?

Friday, December 2, 2016, in the tiny village of Medjugorje, a miracle took place. While stock brokers in New York City were up before dawn reading the signs of the day, while retail stores forecast profits to be made this Christmas season, while many Christians awake to their iphones and computers; amidst all of “what my children are doing,” the Virgin Mary appeared in the middle of daily life. Her presence on this day affected and will affect souls to the end of the world.
For thirty years, a Friend of Medjugorje has spoken of the profoundness of Our Lady’s words, even while others said, “Our Lady is not saying anything new.” From the beginning, he transformed Our Lady’s messages into life and recognized through them that Our Lady is coming to renew the Church, to renew Christianity, to bring Scripture to life again for all people.*
In 2009, Medjugorje visionary Ivan confirmed what a Friend of Medjugorje has been saying for thirty years:
“Also people say, “Ivan, we have the Church, we have the Bible, we have the sacraments, so why is Our Lady coming for so long, through you, to us?” That’s true, we do have the Church, we do have the sacraments, and we have the Bible, but Our Lady is actually asking a new question to all of us, “Dear children, all these things that you have, my dear children, do you live these things?” This is the question we must find the answer to. Do we really live those things that we have?
“…We all know that we have to go to Holy Mass, but we don’t go. We all know that we need to go to Holy Confession, but we don’t go to confession. Also we know that we have to pray in our families, but we don’t. We have to love each other, but we don’t love each other. We know that we have to forgive each other, but we don’t do that. There are many, many, other things we are supposed to do that we don’t do…”1
Our Lady said to the world, December 2, 2016:
Are we forgetting? Are we wiping the tears? What is less important to us today? These questions we should ponder in our hearts this week.
