One woman tells of her reasons in choosing not to go to Medjugorje. Find out below.
“I have been privileged to be a Field Angel from the early years! – and so happy and blessed! I’ve loved receiving the monthly mailings and getting to know the Community a bit through the special retooling mailings – they are beautiful as well as informative! I admire the Caritas community so much.
“I was finally able to actually visit [Caritas] for the 1st time in July of 2013 and had a wonderful and blessed time. With the newly erected Cross on Penitentiary Mountain, and the Grotto to climb, I was completely (I thought) happy and was one of those who felt no need to travel to Medjugorje – it was all right here – in Alabama!
“But something about the messages in the last year and being called ‘an apostle’ and the writings of a Friend of Medjugorje in the Fall, made me realize I was being called to Medjugorje – while She was still appearing and I had the chance to go! No excuses!
“I knew that I would never go with any other group (and I was invited several times) than Caritas. Wise decision! Our group of pilgrims was very special, and the Community group leaders were wonderful facilitators. I really appreciated the spiritual direction and focus of the week. Their knowledge and focus was a true blessing. All of the experiences of the week were grace-filled, and none more so than seeing how so many of our group, literally became Christ’s hands and feet in helping a couple of our group to have full experiences of the climbs while in Medjugorje. I was humbled, enriched and blessed many times over! Thank you Caritas for helping guide this pilgrim on her journey and attempts towards holiness. God Bless you all!”
