Our Lady of Medjugorje speaks of the importance of the family today.

Our Lady of Medjugorje speaks of the importance of the family today. She said on July 24, 1986:
“…dear children, let your family be a place where holiness is born…”
When Our Lady appeared to Medjugorje visionary Marija in the home of the founder of Caritas and his wife, She did not just appear in their home, but rather, Our Lady came into their family, became a part of their family, sharing joys, sorrows, teaching and dealing intimately with them. This is the kind of relationship Our Lady wants to have with us. Today, there is a war against the family. Pope Benedict said in Holy Week of 2006:
“…Today we seem to be witnessing a kind of anti-Genesis, a counter-plan, a diabolical pride aimed at eliminating the family. There is a move to reinvent mankind, to modify the very grammar of life as planned and willed by God. But, to take God’s place, without being God, is insane arrogance, a risky and dangerous venture.”1
The Bedroom of Apparitions, the sacred site where Our Lady appeared at Caritas, has been a place where over 100,000 people have visited, seeking healing for themselves, their marriages, and their families. This Friday, April 1, 2016, the Bedroom of Apparitions will be open to pilgrims, as a special opportunity during the Jubilee Year of Mercy. The Bedroom of Apparitions will also be open once a month.
