A Sign of the Fulfillment of Her Plans
December 9, 2014 A.D.
Advent is a time of invitation for joyful conversion. A time of looking into our hearts, our homes and our families and seeing what true gifts we are looking for, can give, and which God wishes to give to us. It is a time of hope and expectation that God is with us, even in our failings, and our desire to open our hearts to Him in a new way.
How to do this? Begin with your home. We invite you the next five days to imitate what Our Lady has birthed here at Caritas. Do the same in your home with your family this advent season.
The Community of Caritas begins the advent season preparing our hearts and the hearts of those who join us to encounter Our Lady through the Five Days of Prayer for the Reconciling of Ourselves, Our Families and Our Nation Back to God.
Monday, December 8, 2014, Day 1
The Re-Consecration of the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages
We share with you a peak into the first of these Five Days of Prayer, Monday December 8, 2014, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the day the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages is re-consecrated to Our Lady for all of Her plans which She carries out at God’s desire.
The Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages is a sign of the fulfillment of God’s plans to convert the world through Our Lady as She revealed on June 25, 2007:
“…Little children, do not forget that you are all important in this great plan, which God leads through Medjugorje. God desires to convert the entire world…”
Our Lady enabled us to build this building and have some of the strongest influence on the messages and putting them out there in the world. Built to house, protect, proclaim, propagate and live Our Lady’s messages, the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages is a place of encounter with the living messages, bringing them to life and having Our Lady dwell here.
Just before the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages was re-consecrated, a Friend of Medjugorje spoke to those gathered, reflecting on the 22 years of annual consecrations of the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages. He said:
“The Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages is a mystery. This didn’t come from an endorsement from a Diocese or anybody else endorsing it saying, “Here’s the money to build it all.” It’s blood, sweat and tears; sacrifice, sorrows, joys. Everything’s in this building. It’s our life. It’s the living room for the children. They’re raised around it. They’re free to go and come even in my office when I’m writing something like They Fired the First Shot 2012, they’re in my office coming in and out or whatever they’re doing. It’s a building of life and so when you walk through this know that this has a very big impact on the world.”
The Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages was birthed by Our Lady in the heart of a Friend of Medjugorje who began to live Our Lady’s Medjugorje messages in his life, bringing it into his home and family.
Just as a Friend of Medjugorje did in his family, begin in your own family this Advent. Consecrate your home together as a family tonight. Begin on the outside, and then go through each room of your house praying and consecrating your home. Pray the Litanies below as you do. Give God title-ship again of your home and family, which are gifts from Him.
In the materialism of the world, the focus is often on what you’re getting, not what you’ve lost, or what you are without materially, but not spiritually. Our Lady reminds us to focus on the most important first – to have an encounter with God. Each family home is a tabernacle, a place where God’s Word, coupled with Our Lady’s message, are to be read, lived and encountered.
The Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages is a sign of a bright future, as a Friend of Medjugorje said yesterday to those gathered in prayer:
“So we’ve got a bright future. It’s not doom and gloom, it won’t be pleasant to get there but we have all the hope in the world because Hope itself, Our Lady, is here with us.”
Make your home today a Sign of the Fulfillment of Her Plans.
In the Hope and Joy of the Season,
