A Reason Why Our Lady Asked for Silence

A Reason Why Our Lady Asked for Silence

February 22, 2019 A.D.

We are just a three days away from Our Lady’s next monthly message. One month ago, on January 25, 2019, Our Lady of Medjugorje said:

“…This time is for you, little children, a time of silence and prayer…”

There is a reason why Our Lady has asked for this time of silence and prayer.

Peace, peace, peace, Cross on Apparition Mountain in Medjugorje

It is here on this spot on Apparition Mountain, that on the third day of the apparitions, June 26, 1981, while Marija was walking back down the mountain after Our Lady appeared to the six visionaries, she was mysteriously pushed to the side of the trail by an unseen force. Marija saw Our Lady with a bare wooden Cross behind Her. Our Lady said to Marija: “Peace, Peace, Peace! Be reconciled! Only Peace. Make your peace with God and among yourselves. For that, it is necessary to believe, to pray, to fast, and to go to confession.”

Is it not striking that Our Lady did not speak the above words to the six visionaries while they were together? Why? Considering that the apparitions were brand new on June 26, 1981, Our Lady’s wait to tell Marija through another extraordinary circumstance, brings a heightened awareness to what She wished to convey, that Her words would be elevated even higher, and with greater gravity.

When Our Lady asked for a time of prayer and silence on January 25, 2019, it was to bring a heightened awareness to the next monthly message She would speak to us, that She would have something of great importance to tell us, in which a time of silence and prayer are necessary to quiet voices within our hearts, so that we might hear Our Lady with clarity. If you have not taken time to be silent and in prayer, spend these next few days until the 25th message on Monday, that the voice you hear on that day be Our Lady’s.

In Silence and Prayer,

  1. It takes effort to find time for silence. Thank you for reminding us of its importance. The world keeps getting louder.

  2. With our silence we will be more alert to what God has to say to us we will be led by God’s Spirit if we are in peace with our selves and can radiate this peace and tranquillity to others around us but with unnecessary earthly disturbances can lead us to spirit of evil..which will make misery to our souls and others. Love to all who live the words of Our Lady!

  3. This message means a lot to me. I would say I compulsively listen to music. St. Faustina’s diary made me start thinking about how much noise I distract my mind with. And, now, with this message I have been trying for inner silence.
