Pope Benedict XVI Echoes Our Lady’s Words

Pope Benedict XVI on April 20, 2011 stated,

“It is our very sleepiness to the presence of God that renders us insensitive to evil: we don’t hear God because we don’t want to be disturbed.”

Our Lady has often called for believers to “awaken.” She stated on March 25, 2001:

“…You are concerned about everything else, but the least for the soul and spiritual life. Awaken from the tired sleep of your soul and say yes to God with all your strength…”

Our Lady also said on October 25, 2006:

“…God sent me to lead you toward eternal life. I, little children, am not tired, although I see that your hearts are heavy and tired for everything that is a grace and a gift…”
