Marija was scheduled to give her testimony in a meeting in Cittadella, province of Padua. Unlike Ivan, Marija never received anything official from the Church saying that she could no longer speak. However, it was relayed to her, though not through an official of the Church, that it would be better if she did not attend the public meeting at this time. Knowing that there would be many that would be disappointed if she did not show herself, as it had been advertised that she would be present, Marija went, but limited herself to a short greeting. She stated to the gathering, “I just came to say hello to you, since I had promised it to my friend.†She assured everyone that she was remembering them all in her prayers to Our Lady.
