Marija at Caritas March 18-24, 2011

Marija at Caritas March 18-24, 2011

In 2008, a Friend of Medjugorje announced that the mission, Caritas of Birmingham, was initiating a full retooling of all the equipment in the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages in preparation for the Great Evangelization that would be ushered in through the release of Our Lady’s secrets in Medjugorje. The retooling eventually included the expansion and construction of an addition to the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages.

In March, 2011, the building extension was complete and much of the newly acquired printing equipment installed. Marija came to Caritas March 18-24, 2011, for Five Days of Prayer to dedicate and consecrate the expansion of the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages.

The first evening of the Five Days of Prayer, March 19, a “super moon” appeared in the sky, not seen for the past 20 years. Our Lady had appeared in the Bedroom that evening, but said for the next day’s apparition, March 20, She would appear in the Field. It was believed by many that She made that decision because She wanted everyone outside to see the miracle of the sun that took place before the apparition. The sun “danced” in the sky with brilliant colors shooting out from it. It was a grace not just for a few, but the majority of the thousands in the Field could experienced it. Pilgrims spanning the Field dropped to their knees, many weeping from the display of God’s miracle.

The following day, March 21, the apparition took place in the Bedroom of Apparitions. A man from South America, who was riddled with cancer and given only two weeks to live, flew to Alabama to ask Our Lady for a healing. In the middle of the apparition in the Bedroom with his family gathered around him, he heard Our Lady say to him interiorly, “Do not be concerned about yourself, but now be concerned for others.” He knew he had been cured. Later that week, his doctors were completely amazed. Test after test came back with no cancer. During the week with Our Lady, She accepted the consecration of the Tabernacle named for Her. A great many graces were bestowed upon the pilgrims gathered to show Her gratitude.
