On the 22nd anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions in Medjugorje, Dr. Fr. Ljudecit Rupcic, a strong advocate of Medjugorje, died at the age of 83. Fr. Rupcic, like many followers of Our Lady of Medjugorje upon their death, was given the honor to die on a feast day of Medjugorje. For Fr. Rupcic it was the anniversary of Our Lady’s first apparition. Fr. Rupcic was a very prominent and respected Croatian theologian and Biblical translator. He translated the New Testament into the Croatian language. He was also the author of many books, several of which were concerning Medjugorje. He was among those in the first days and years to study the apparitions in Medjugorje.
