Cardinal Christoph Schonborn, a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith was interviewed by Fr. Juan Garcia Inza. The Spanish priest said that he had asked Cardinal Schonborn point blank his opinion about Medjugorje and the cardinal answered that as a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith he has been part of the study conducted on the Medjugorje phenomenon and pointed out that it was significant that Pope Francis had requested the Commission’s completed study before they deliberated on the outcome – because the Pope is keen on everything related to Medjugorje. When asked about the future of Medjugorje the cardinal responded:
“One thing is clear: the Church will not break anything that has been building for years; that is, Medjugorje will captivate the world.â€
