Ivan Prayer Group

Medjugorje has entered into the days of the anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions. On any given hour today, villagers as well as pilgrims from around the world were making the climb up Apparition Mountain, while leaders of groups recounted the story in many languages of those sultry June days in 1981, June 24 and 25, and every day after. It was 38 years ago when Our Lady was first seen by the six youth who became known as the “visionaries of Medjugorje.”
It is always beautiful to visit Medjugorje, regardless of the time of year, but there is something deeply profound to visit this holy village in the same season in which the apparitions began. One can easily go back in time and recreate the scenes in one’s mind. Geographically, the rocky terrain of the mountains haven’t changed that much in the past 38 years.
A Friend of Medjugorje has spent over three decades living Our Lady’s messages and has learned much from Her words and actions. He relays there is a timelessness that is felt gathered under the stars for Ivan’s prayer group apparitions on top of Apparition Mountain. First timers to Medjugorje fit right into the biblical scene on this mountain and drink in the peace and the grace of Our Lady’s presence as much as those who have been coming to Medjugorje for years. No one is an outsider on Our Lady’s mountain, but somehow, Our Lady communicates to each heart that they belong here, that their prayers are being heard and that Our Lady has been waiting so long, for some, and so happy that they have finally arrived.
A Friend of Medjugorje continues in relaying that Our Lady is always very happy in these prayer group apparitions with Ivan and the thousands who attend them. She has said that it is through the prayer groups dedicated to Her that Her plans will be realized. Perhaps Her joy and happiness in this setting reflects that hope and promise. Whatever Her reason for being so happy, it is always wonderful to hear those words after every mountain apparition—and never so wonderful as when you are here for the days of celebrating Her anniversary.
Ivan’s Prayer Group Apparition on Apparition Mountain

After the apparition, which lasted seven minutes, Ivan said:
“Also today, after the meeting together with Our Lady, I would like to bring closer to you, to describe what is the most important from tonight’s meeting. Also today, Our Lady came to us very joyful and happy and She greeted all of us with Her motherly greeting, ‘Praised be Jesus my dear children.’ Then, for a longer while, with Her arms extended, She prayed over all of us here. She prayed especially over you the sick present here. Then Our Lady said:
“Dear children, also today I desire to call you to a renewal of my messages. Live my messages dear children. Speak less about the messages and live the messages more. Speak less and live more. Dear children, I am with you for such a long time and today I desire to call you to pray for my intentions, for my plans which I desire to realize with the world, especially plans of peace. Also today, dear children, I desire to tell you that I am praying for all of you and I intercede for all of you before my Son. Thank you, dear children, for also today having responded to my call.”
“Then, Our Lady blessed all of us with Her motherly blessing, and blessed everything you brought to be blessed. I recommended all of you, your needs, your intentions, your families and in a special way, all of you sick who are present. After that, Our Lady continued to pray over all of us here and She left in that prayer, in an illuminated Sign of the Cross, with a greeting, ‘Go in peace my dear children.’”
In these days, pray for peace as Our Lady has asked. For those who have read Big Q, Little Q, we are seeing in our midst, plans of peace coming to our world after years of prayer. Continue to pray. Everyone is in our daily prayers during this time of the anniversary, and we remind you about sending your petitions to be brought before Our Lady. You can send your petitions here.
