I refer to Sacred Scripture, 2 Peter Chapter 3 — Chapter 3 of 2nd Epistle of Peter is preparation for the Coming of Christ and how God said He will destroy the earth by FIRE (and not by water as He did in Noah’s day). In Verse 7, it reads: “The present heavens and earth are reserved by God’s Word for fire; they are kept for the Day of Judgment, the day when godless men will be destroyed.” I urge you to read all of Chapter 3 as there is more about the “elements being destroyed by fire”…and how we are to prepare for it.
