Medjugorje visionary, Marija Lunetti, arrived today at Caritas in the evening of March 18th. Normally, when Marija is traveling, Our Lady appears at the same time of Her apparitions in Medjugorje, around 6:40 p.m. However, today, the Caritas Community was given a beautiful grace in that Our Lady waited to appear to Marija until after she arrived, about 7 hours past the normal apparition time. The whole community, after gathering and greeting Marija upon her arrival, entered the Bedroom for the Rosary. Our Lady came in the middle of the Rosary, blessed everyone and looked at everyone in the Bedroom. Marija has explained in the past that whenever Our Lady “looks” at everyone, Her eyes fall on each face, one at a time. It is something very endearing to Marija and Our Lady does not normally do this at every apparition. Marija said, Our Lady came as She normally does here, tranquil—in peace.
Tomorrow’s Apparition—March 19, 2011
The apparition tomorrow will be in the Bedroom at 6:40 p.m. Thousands who are attending the Five Days of Prayer, March 19-23, 2011, will gather in the Field at 6:00 p.m. to prepare for the 6:40 p.m. apparition. When Our Lady appears in the Bedroom, She always blesses those gathered in the Field of Apparitions, around the tree.
Another beautiful grace was given that we will all be able to experience tomorrow during the time of the apparition. It has been widely reported that a “super full moon” will be rising in the evening sky at sunset. “The last full Moon so big and close to Earth occurred in March of 1993,” reported the US Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. This “bigger” and “brighter” moon happens every 18 years or so. We learned of this information from one of our Field Angels this morning, and we were moved in our hearts when we realized that the year 1993 was the first year that we consecrated the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages in a formal consecration to Our Lady. This was a beautiful sign to us of Our Lady making Her presence known to all those who would be gathering for Her apparitions at Caritas, and in a particular way, for the re-consecration of Our Lady’s Tabernacle. But a bigger grace awaited us when we learned that Our Lady’s apparition would be at 6:40 p.m.—at the same time the “super full moon” would be rising. Our Lady said:

Make a Spontaneous Decision
We thank Our Lady for providing the means to open our hearts to Her in contemplating the messages that nature brings to us. If you are reading this and have not seriously considered coming for these apparitions, make a spontaneous decision and come. Even if you have to jump in the car and drive 10 hours or more to be in Our Lady’s presence, it’s worth it. Many in the past have listened to their heart’s prompting and have done the same. The Field…mystical…quiet…the site where the Mother of Jesus appeared to Marija. The Virgin Mary told Marija for those gathered, “…I am here to help you!…” Since that moment on November 24, 1988, countless numbers have come to this Holy Field to pray, seek grace, and mend hearts. It is a place of the meeting of the Two Hearts. An encounter with the Hearts of Mary and Her Son…Jesus. No one who visits when there are apparitions are ever the same…for the rest of their lives…forever affected…forever…into eternity.
The Bedroom of Apparitions, Tonight, March 18, 2011
The two sites of the Bedroom and Field of Apparitions, located at Caritas, have been graced by 156 apparitions of the Virgin Mary over the past 21 years, though She has been with the founder’s family and the community at other locations bringing the total to 176 apparitions over the years. The 156 apparitions on the sacred ground of Caritas have occurred in 1988, 1989, 1994, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, July/August 2005, November 2005, 2008, February 2009, and July 2009. This does not include the many times the community has been blessed to have Our Lady in their mission and home in Medjugorje. The primary site of the apparitions has been in the Bedroom of a consecrated “beloved home” with 123 apparitions in this room. The Field was consecrated to Our Lady for the conversion of our nation. The two sites are connected in that the Bedroom represents the family, “the home,” and the Field represents our nation. Nations cannot hope to heal without first healing the family home. In 2009 (above), over 4,000 flowers were arranged in the Bedroom, representing the hearts of people from across the United States & around the world, to show their love and devotion to Our Lady in the last days of Her apparitions to Marija at Caritas. Marija was inspired and some community members joined in to help her form the heart on top of the Bed that would receive Our Lady.

On March 19th, a full Moon of rare size and beauty will rise in the east at sunset. It’s a super “perigee moon”—the biggest in almost 20 years.
“The last full Moon so big and close to Earth occurred in March of 1993,” says Geoff Chester of the US Naval Observatory in Washington, DC. “I’d say it’s worth a look.” Full Moons vary in size because of the oval shape of the Moon’s orbit. It is an eclipse with one side (perigee) about 50,000 km closer to Earth than the other (apogee): Nearby perigee moons are about 14% bigger and 30% brighter than lesser moons that occur on the apogee side of the Moon’s orbit.
“The full Moon of March 19th occurs less than one hour away from perigee—a near-perfect coincidence that happens only 18 years or so,” adds Chester.
The Moon looks extra-big when it is beaming through foreground objects—a.k.a. “the Moon illusion.”
Indeed, contrary to some reports circulating the Interent, perigee Moons do not trigger natural disasters. The “super moon” of March 1993, for instance, passed without incident. And an almost-super Moon in December, 2008 also proved harmless.
The best time to look is when the Moon is near the horizon. That is when illusion mixes with reality to produce a truly stunning view. For reasons not fully understood by astronomers or psychologists, low-hanging Moons look unnaturally large when they beam through trees, buildings and other foreground objects. On March 19th, why not let the “Moon illusion” amplify a full Moon that’s extra-big to begin with? The swollen orb rising in the east at sunset may seem so nearby, you can almost reach out and touch it. Don’t bother. Even a super perigee Moon is still 356,577 km away. That is, it turns out, a distance of rare beauty.

I was there for only 3 days. We drove 750 miles with my 5 young children. I was so overwhelmed just stepping foot on the field when we finally reached Caritas. I was knocked down to my knees and tears filled my eyes as I could feel the presence of heaven on this field. That first night during the apparition we experienced a wave of sweet smelling flowers that came and left us twice even though we were far from anyone else. A slight breeze with it as Mary blessed us. The Moon was breathtaking
My heart and soul prays for the intercession and prayers of Our Lady before Our Father, in healing the sick, especially my brother diagnosed with cancer and my nephew suffering the emotional distress of mental abuse.
My heart aches that I am not in Caritas during this most Blessed event. But I send my heartfelt “thank you” to all of you for helping me and others for allowing us to be part of it through the internet, and may our Dear Blessed Mother pour out many graces upon you, and upon the whole world, and to us, Her children.
