Our Lady appeared to Mirjana on March 18, 2008 for her annual apparition. Our Lady appeared to Mirjana at 2:01 p.m. The apparition lasted 7 minutes. Mirjana relayed the following:
I have never seen Our Lady address us in this manner. She extended Her hands towards us and with Her hands extended in this way, She said:
December 25, 2008 – Jakov’s Annual Apparition
When Jakov received his last daily apparition on September 12, 1998, Our Lady told him that he would have one apparitionyear for the rest of his life on Christmas Day, December 25th. So Our Lady appeared to Jakov Christmas morning. The apparition began at 9:49 a.m. and lasted 6 minutes. Our Lady gave the following message:

I’m writing to share that Father Altier from St Raphael church in MN gave a homily on Aug 19 about the church scandal and I would like to ask the whole Mej community to listen to it and to support him with prayers. Thank you, Friend of Medjugorje for this great broadcast. My heart has been so frustrated at why our priests and bishops are so worried about the poor and social & economic justice, while in the Church, there is no talk about standing up for our Lord as we’re being told by our priests not to deny anyone as they come to receive Communion. Where is the chivalry of protecting our Lord from the hands of the wicked, as I witness many [abominables] coming up to receive Holy Communion. I want to be as our brothers & sister saints of the past who with boldness and great courage, defended and stood up for Our Lord at all cost. Thanks you, Friend of Medjugorje. Your words from our Lady, set my heart on fire and I pray She will give me everything She knows I need to pray & Act in the way She desires of me. This broadcast filled me with great zeal for Our Lady’s work and I pray that all who listen will be filled with courage & zeal to pray & Act in all the ways She is asking of all Her children.
