December 18, 2013 A.D.
Last night, Tuesday, December 18, 2013, the Community had been working late and some were at the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages, finishing up their tasks. Our founder, A Friend of Medjugorje was driving down the Caritas driveway, and as usual, he looked up towards the Cross, on the mountain behind the Field of Apparitions. The moon was out, and was brightly lighting up the night sky. Right above the Cross, he saw what appeared to be a plane. He thought it was a plane since it was flashing so much. He leaned his head out the truck window and realized that it was not a plane, it was a star! He stayed there a minute to make sure his eyes weren’t deceiving him, and it was in fact a star. As he watched it, the star was twinkling red, white and blue, directly above the Cross. Even more, was that none of the rest of the stars in the sky were twinkling, only this one above the Cross, flashing red, white and blue.
Not wanting anyone to miss the sight, he drove back up the Caritas driveway and pulled up to our shipping dock, ran in and hollered to everyone, “Ya’ll gotta come see this. There’s star right above the Cross and it’s really twinkling like crazy.”
The word quickly spread, and within about a minute, fifteen Community members raced outside, as what often happens, when no one wants to miss an opportunity that God may be wanting to speak. And though it was cold out, they piled in the back of the truck, forgetting their tasks, and their jackets. They went down the driveway and stopped where they could see the Cross. All fifteen of them stood up in the back of the truck to watch it. A Friend of Medjugorje didn’t tell them what colors the star was, but immediately everyone began to say, “Look, look, it’s flashing red, white and blue!”
Everyone was excited. It was a beautiful sight to behold. After watching it for some time, one of the Community members went to fetch the camera. While waiting for the camera, everyone in the back of the truck began to sing, “Star of wonder, star of night. Star with royal beauty bright. Westward leading, still proceeding, guide us to thy perfect light…”

We have seen events like this happen so many times in the Community. It is a reason why no one hesitated to run out and jump in the back of the truck when our founder came in. Our Lady has risen up here at Caritas, a village that moves, breathes, and lives for Her messages. The years of suffering the Way of the Cross by A Friend of Medjugorje, in order to birth a Way of Life, all for our Nation and it’s rebirth – a sign at Christmastime, to re-birth our Nation, through a Way of Life, forged through the Way of the Cross, above the Cross binded to America, and America’s Star. Beautiful, really beautiful…
A picture of some of the Community that ran out to see the wonder, with the star above. It was nighttime and trying to get everyone in focus in the picture was a task, since everyone was bouncing up and down in the back of the truck as they watched the beautiful sign from God.
Our Lady said in the same March 25, 1990 message above:
“…As I bore Jesus in my womb, so also, dear children, do I wish to bear you unto holiness. God wants to save you and sends you messages through men, nature, and so many things which can only help you to understand that you must change the direction of your life. Therefore, little children, understand also the greatness of the gift which God is giving you through me, so that I may protect you with my mantle and lead you to the joy of life…”
What kind of message is God trying to speak to you, to your family? God is giving you signs, Our Lady wants to bear you unto holiness as She bore Jesus in Her womb, to lead you to the joy of life. Is your life not structured in a way of life to not only hear God’s voice, but to respond quickly?

I, too, saw this red, white and blue star….I thought how strange, thought it was a satellite. But lo and behold, others have seen it too, this beautiful star. Thank you for enlightening me as I would have continued to think it was something man-made. How good God is to have me see this!!
Indeed some good news on hearing the beautiful star that twinkled in the sky… God really loves us and I thank him today 25th December his birthday for healing my dad back to normal. My dad went into a depression last year due to some property matter wherein his nephews turned greedy because of a settlement that was coming through. They tried to cheat him of his earnings he paid for the last 45 years thru, lawyers and courts. They had meetings among themselves and one of his nephew instigated everything and made others turn against him. Thank you Jesus for taking care of him and for all the prayers we asked for the bring him back to base. I also thank Jesus for keeping my best friend alive and will continue to bring her closer to him [cancer of the lymph glands and cancer spread to her left breast where she underwent surgery early December 2013. Thank you Jesus, Our beloved Queen of Peace and St. Joseph and all the saints.
Thank you so much for sharing this very beautiful event with us. It is so comforting to realize that with all of the problems in the USA and the world, WE are not ALONE. Our Saviour and Our Blessed Mother are always watching over us. They love us so much and like Our Blessed Mother said, our love to them is not returned. Let us make it a special Christmas gift to realize how loved we are by Our Jesus and Our Lady by giving special thanks and love to them. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament an Hour a week would be such a beautiful gift to them both. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is such an uplifting experience. Thank you, Jesus, thank you, Mary. I also saw bright star and I thought it was plane .But I keep looking and did not move . It was so good that God is with us.
Yes, as you all saw the star twinling on that night reminded me that I saw it too but it was on the 17th instead, that is my birthday. It is around 7pm or more my husband took me out for dinner. Just after left my house few minutes, suddenly, I saw the star is so bright and the sky is very clear that night. At that time, I am not sure this was a star or a plan light because it was twinling very much in very different colors. It was like red or blue because it was far away. It was twinling so much that I called my husband, who was driving, and said: “look, look honey why the star is twinling too much”. He looked and saw it too. Suddenly, I said, I think because is closed to the time of Infant Jesus born so the star is appearing like that. Inside of me, a joy and peace overwhelm me and I just praise Him again! Liz
Nearly one year ago, we heard the voice of Baby Jesus say, “I am your peace, live my commandments.” Now this sign of a star, twinkling, red, white, and blue. This is not a coincidence, as the star of Bethlehem rested in the sky above the infant Jesus, so too in this season of Christmas, the Lord is with us. Red, white, and blue; America, Jesus is speaking to you! Merry Christmas!
Yes! it is so beautiful to see! my husband & I look to the sky on clear nights and see the bright twinkling star that shines with colors of red white & blue. We are always amazed at the size and brightness of this star. We thank God for everything and for bringing Caritas to us through the website. Every time I come to Caritas I always see red, white and blue STARS walking around living a perfect way in a new time.
I also saw the bright full moon and the very bright and close to Earth Star! I thought it was a plane also, but I kept watching and it did not move. I was so Happy to read this because I look up often and wonder! Thank you for sharing!
How utterly beautiful and magnificent the signs of wonder in the heavens and upon our earth. To see these awesome signs God sends and gives to mankind. I too watch the heavens on clear nights and each time seems more precious and new as the one before. Enjoy and love little Community of Caritas. Its the simple things in life that humble us.
