As we look forward to Our Lady’s apparitions here this July 1-5, we are reminded of our duty to Our Lady and how we respond to Her messages.

 

As we are about to enter into this period of time with Our Lady in which we will be praying for all of you, we wanted to share with you this encounter with a Friend of Medjugorje from December 10, 2013, almost ten years ago.

 

And a Friend of Medjugorje offers a very great challenge to those who claim to be followers of Our Lady, that is, all of us, and our response to Her messages, what it is that She really requires of us, what it really means to actually respond with love.

 

Over the next thirty minutes, a lot of what a Friend of Medjugorje says will be very challenging for some, but we encourage you to take his words, put them into practice, and see the positive fruit that it will bring about for your life.

 

And so, here is a Friend of Medjugorje, December 10, 2013.

“…My children, stop for a moment and look [at] your hearts. Is my Son‚ your God truly in the first place? Are His Commandments truly the measure of your life?…”

 

And these are words that we don’t like to hear, and we don’t think Our Lady would say. It’s difficult for us to see, because Marija says the way She talks is so beautiful, so sweet, so profound, so powerful. But She says,

 

“…I am warning you again. Without faith there is no God’s nearness. God’s Word which is the light of salvation and the light of common sense.”

 

I’ve spoken a lot about that. God’s Word, John says, came from Heaven, and it was made in the Flesh. That Flesh turned into Jesus Christ. Before, He was just God’s Word in Heaven. He got a body form—God. And He was the Light. He paid salvation. And Our Lady defines this incredibly. Jesus Christ is the light of common sense. And that’s what this world’s missing. It’s not lacking intellectualism. It’s not lacking the universities saying, “You’ve got to go to college. You’ve got to go to education.”

 

Why is all the sides that you’re opposed to and we are opposed to always pushing education? All the liberal organizations, all the liberal, the leftist things, all of them, the National Education Association, the universities that push it have their arms of whatever they may be…Why do they want to educate people? Because they’re indoctrinating them. It’s the only way they can propagate the leftist, or either the things that are against God.

 

A tyrant’s lash on us, or a tyrant’s rule, really, is a lash on the back of the children—God’s children. That’s why they rise up. And they rise up because we give them power. We’re just as guilty as putting Obama in power as those who wickedly took the election last time. It’s hard for us to accept that. But if we look at ourselves with honest eyes, “How have I lived?” “What have I done in my life?” When the people of yester-year would never allow this just by the way they lived, because people that didn’t believe respected them.

 

I can remember children in our Catholic school that were there, and the parents, they weren’t Catholic, and I was amazed at this when I first talked to one of the kids there at school. He told me about it. Fourth, fifth grade, I don’t remember where. But his dad and his mom wanted him to go to school for the values that Christianity taught.

 

See, the people, even though we were falling into sin at that time, lived such a life that the residue of Christianity for a couple centuries for this nation’s history, had lived in such a degree that non-believers respected us! They bowed down to us! Even though they didn’t believe, even though they weren’t church-goers, they knew, “Hey, these people are good. I like the way they are. I want my children to be this way.”

 

But we’ve fallen so far, they are in our face now. They don’t respect us because we don’t live the Commandments, we don’t do what we’re supposed to do, and therefore, they’re in our face, and they’re taking everything from us, all our rights.

 

It is a given, if we live holy, if we’re obedient, if we do what we’re supposed to do, our enemies, those who rule over us, will bow down to the chains they put on us, even though we’re their subjects, is what they’re trying to make of us. Because our convictions will make them say, “These people that we lower, are better than us.” And they will see in us the radiance of something that shines so bright that there has to be an external source that gives them that light, and that light is God, and that’s why Our Lady says, “Be a reflection of Jesus.” (February 15, 1988)

 

Jesus says, “Be perfect as the Father is.”

 

Are you going to? No, but you can strive to be.

 

And when you live those traits, when you do those things, your enemy will respect you. You’ll win him over.

 

You think it’s theoretical? It’s factual. The early Church grew this way. The more they killed, the more the blood was more seeds for the others, just like Our Lady said, a seed that will branch out across the whole world. (December 2, 2011) Jesus did it from a little place in Jerusalem, and it spread all over.

 

We’ve been in decline since the French Revolution. Our Lady’s come to reverse this. And we need so much help because satan dominates us so strongly through electronics and all those things and gadgets that take up our time and guide us or rule us and take over our ability even to how we think or how we perceive things or even people, the greats, who’s really great today, or just your neighbor, that She has to come to guide us to counter the power of the devil. And we still won’t get there unless we have the three admonitions or three chastisements or the three secrets released, whatever you want to see them, however you want to see them, because we don’t know. And then, satan’s power will be destroyed.

 

So, until that time, we’re living underneath this rule. How we react to it, we can maybe convert some in between now and then.

 

Our Lady has told us how to avoid the lash. She says,

“…Surrounded by material goods, how many times have you betrayed, denied and forgotten Him?…”

 

Talking about God.

 

“…My children, do not deceive yourselves with worldly goods…”

 

Wealth is okay. You can have that. And people that’s made a lot of wealth, there’s something to learn from them.

 

We were with Tom Monahan. His company sold for $1.4 billion, just selling pizzas. His office building’s one mile long in Michigan. Beautiful place. And when I asked how is he successful, he just said, “I delivered pizzas.” He didn’t get into everything else. He stayed focused.

 

You’ve got to say focused. You deliver the message. You’re not denying Our Lady. She’s real. So why do you cow down, “I better not say something to family,” because they’re Protestant, or say something because they’re Jewish, or say something because they’re Catholic, which are worse than both, the other two, and they don’t believe.

 

She’s either real, or She’s not real! If She’s real, why do you worry about it. Speak to them as She is your Mother. It may annoy them. It may bother them, but let it be so! Let it bother you if they’re not bothered by it, because then they don’t care. But if they’re agitated by it, that’s convicting. They want that to go away. They don’t want you to talk about it. “Just shut up about that.” Why? Because it’s bothering them. If somebody’s bothered, they’ve got to act on it. They either have to go further away or closer to you.

 

How many of you came closer who you were bothered by Mary and the apparitions to start with, that you came to conversion through that? You.

 

So, if you’re passive, that’s the one you can’t reach. That’s the one to be worried about. The family member who’s agitated by it, great. My brother didn’t want to go. I didn’t shut up. My daddy didn’t want to go. I didn’t shut up. The whole family’s been to Medjugorje. Now all of you have been to Medjugorje. And we’re not going to shut up. Speak about Our Lady as if She is your Mother, because She is. This is real. Why would you deny the truth of that?

 

If we were more coy, if I’d followed advisors who always were coming to me and say, “You know, you’re too much on Mary.”

 

Is Jesus coming to the world every day? Yeah, through Mass. I understand that. But is He having and apparition like the Transfiguration, ever day here?

 

It’s God Who decided to make Her prominent during this time because this is Her moment, to reverse the world’s condition, because it needs Mother. And I’m not going to shy around or be coy about it.

 

Oh, there was a temptation in the beginning days of some of the first writings, maybe I’d be more open to Protestants if I did that. I said, “No. She’s appearing. I’m going to do it.” That’s happened with many, many writings where the devil says, “You know, if you do this…” Uh-uh. And you see They Fired the First Shot is getting people from every walk of life, every faith, all kinds of people to come to it, just like this man running for governor coming tonight, through They Fired the First Shot, because it didn’t apologize. And the issues are so strong about crossing lines of believers, non-believers, different faiths, that “Maybe this Mary thing I can accept.”

 

One of the most profound letters I ever read that we touched was the evangelical that we’re putting now inside of They Fired the First Shot, and you’ve got to really go in depth in reading what this guy says. I read the letter three or four times, but one day I just stopped and read it. What he says is really, really profound.

 

But the letter is so profound in the way he says it, but he would never have done that had I been side-stepping or walking on egg shells, “I know you might not believe in the Virgin Mary…” No. I write in that book as if you believe. And if you don’t, that’s okay with me. I don’t have a problem, because it doesn’t change anything with me. I believe it.

 

We are apostates. There’s many apostates with Medjugorje. I’m not talking about going in there with your husband if you’re trying to beat him over the head with a message book, Words from Heaven. There’s coy ways to do that. But external, those things that have no jurisdiction over you like your husband or someone where you’ve got jurisdiction over your kids, and they don’t like it, you’re free to speak, or a family member, your uncle or brother. You can speak what you want to. If they don’t want you to speak about it, tough luck. You don’t have to force it down your throat. But it’s your life. And just them sharing what your life is, you tell what your life is. And in the purity of no contempt, no arrogance, nothing in your voice that would say those things.

 

This guy’s an evangelical. This letter was sent to us. He didn’t even send us a letter. Somebody else sent us this letter. He says,

 

“To be clear, I am no theologian. I am a simple, non-Catholic Christian man who loves God, family, and country, and I love my Catholic brethren.

 

“So, when I was asked to pen a few words on the book  you’re about to read, I was humble and eager to do so for two reasons…”

 

We didn’t ask that. We don’t really know who did. Somebody, wherever this guy lives.

 

“…First, because America is an exceptional nation worthy of preserving, and secondly, because the references of the Mother Mary need not be a stumbling block to we evangelicals.

 

“I would like to embellish this second point regarding Mary. As you know, we evangelicals have a range of thought and emotions regarding this and other faith practices of our Catholic brethren. I humbly request that you suspend any bias or emotion that would preclude your hearing the broader message contained in this book. That being, we have our ultimate hope in our Savior Jesus, a key mission to share His love, withal an [INAUDIBLE] threat of life and liberty crouching at the door with a plan to stop this threat…”

 

Speaking about the book.

 

“…Personally, the claimed visitation of Mother Mary neither diminish nor enhance the impact of the book’s central theme. I hold Mother Mary’s visitation with awe…”

 

He’s an evangelical.

 

“…and mystery similar to other manifestations seen and testified throughout the earth. Let’s be candid. Unless you believe the gifts and miracles of God ceased with the early Church, you believe that God still speaks, heals and answers prayers today. Testimonies from the mission field both around the world and even in our communities testify to this fact…”

 

Beautiful observation. You’re saying these manifestations can’t exist, you other evangelicals? And yet, you hear miracles in the mission field? So, God can’t do this today? He ceased with the early Church? It’s over?

 

“…So as you read this book, I humbly invite you to join me in following humble posture…”

 

And this is genius. This is beautiful, magnificent what this guy says now.

 

“I intend, with all my heart, to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, to hold extra-Biblical manifestations with awe, wonder and mystery, be they Catholic or evangelical, never allowing them to establish my faith, but only to enrich it.

 

“Our Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever, supremely sovereign, the only One Who would do what He will when He wills it and using whomever He chooses…”

 

He’s got no problem with Mary. If that’s what God wants to do, He can do it.

 

“…This you surely believe as a confessing Christian. I will willingly give my life for my God, family or country. No fear, only full of faith, hope and love. This love will transcend all future challenges, and it’s my commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, my family and my country. Please join me in this quest.

 

Joe Edwards”

 

Incredible. Incredible.

 

This actually is an explanation of what the Church teaches about apparitions once they’re approved, saying, that it’s not a requirement for faith or salvation, but it’s worthy of belief. This guy said it better than what we’ve got in our doctrine. He’s not afraid of what God can do in extra manifestations, and I look at them in mystery and awe of God.

 

And you’re worried about what people think of you? You’re worried about what your family thinks about you? No apologies. No fear. Let them reject it! But don’t back down from who you are, and that’s Our Lady following Her apostle. Because one day, they may crack. And when the chastisements come up or the three secrets come out, they’re going to come to you.

 

“Tell me about this stuff that I’ve been rejecting for these years. What do I need to do?”

 

Remember Jesus trained His apostles, and many who rejected it after the Death and Resurrection came to them to tell us,  “Tell me about it.” You think, logically, it’s not going to happen this way again?

 

So, those who reject, I’m real at peace when people reject Our Lady or don’t do this or they won’t accept it. They will. It’s like Ivan said, when people don’t believe in the devil. He says, “Don’t worry about it. They’ll find out when they get there.” Don’t worry about this. They’ll find out when the admonitions happen, Mary’s real!

 

She’s real! We don’t have to tippy-toe for Her. She’s not doing it. She’s very forward in Her messages, “I’m requiring you to do this. I’m saying do this.”

 

If we think we can go to war to beat what’s coming over us, or we’re going to have a rebellion to defeat all these tyrannies now, we’re badly mistaken.

 

The fight we have is simply living according to God’s ways and His Commandments. If you want to unshackle those bonds that we see coming—the laws are on the books. Everything’s there. Live God’s ways. You refuse to do that, or you want to be comfortable, and you want to wait till that moment, it’s too late. Undoing the shackles is much more difficult than avoiding the shackles.

 

Our Lady said,

 

January 25, 2001

“…the one who prays is not afraid of the future…the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped — wars of your unbelief and fear for the future…”

 

When you live God’s ways, you experience peace.

 

Last Christmas, Our Lady appeared, and Marjia was shocked. Paolo, her husband, I talked to him just afterwards. I got a hold of her later, was totally shocked, because Jesus spoke. She said His voice was so authoritative, so profound and so powerful, but yet, it was a baby. Small infant.

 

How do you do that? Who knows?

 

But Jesus says,

 

“I am your peace…”

 

If you’re not obedient, if you’re not following what it is that you’re supposed to be following, if I’m not following the bishop’s directives over us, where he has jurisdiction—and I know where that line is. I know every one of the lines, and I’ll do that, and on the other side of the line, I won’t do it. And he respects us for that, and we respect him for what he does.

 

But if I fudge on that, I’m not going to be at peace, and I won’t receive peace, and I won’t receive the grace for it.

 

We had a priest come here, was going to the airport. He wanted to do Mass here. Somebody here had told him that, no, the bishop won’t allow it. Not because something negative. Not because we did anything wrong. They’re just not allowing it till the Church approves it, and actually, they actually have offered Mass to us if we back down from the message, which we’re not going to do that. We don’t know how to separate that. That’s not within our charism here to be able to do that. We are the message. How do we separate the two. When we get it, we get it together. And we can wait. And I can be dead and gone, and they can wait, the next generation, but it’s coming, because Medjugorje is huge, and this is going to be the biggest thing in America, where She has appeared over 180, Her Medjugorje apparitions, and did things and said things at the site, about the site, and its future.

 

But you have to, whatever jurisdiction’s over you, you have to be totally obedient and agree with that and go with it to feel good about yourself. And forget the consequences of following obedience. You don’t have to. Obedience breeds go consequences.

 

So, when He says,

 

“I am your peace…”

 

And then He only utters the words,

 

“…live My Commandments.”

 

Nobody, no arms, no tyrant can do anything against God’s people who are doing that. That will unshackle the chains.  will reverse things, or we might have to go through it. Bosnia went through it when they were at war with Belgrade. Croatia went through it.

 

But the women prayed, and within four years or so, it stopped. And Our Lady even predicted before it stopped, “Thank you for your prayers. They have helped me so that this war may end as soon as possible.” (February 25, 1994)

 

They prayed and fasted. It took four years, and it took another twelve months or so for it to end. But She said, “Thank you. It’s accepted. God’s decided.” But God works through man. And just as we’ve got things coming down the pike, we’re not going to avoid them, and Our Lady said that. You can mitigate them, but you’re not going to avoid them because man’s sins are too severe.

 

And we’ve positioned ourselves in a better way to be spiritually where we need to be. That said, a lot depends on us.

 

And so, God’s people, if they live contrary to God, you’re just going to double your chains, because we already know too many things. If we’re not going to change our life, and we’re falling underneath Her jurisdiction and what She’s telling us we’re obedient to, we’ll be saved by this.

“…God gave you the grace to live and to defend all the good…”

 

“…God gave you the grace to live and to defend all the good…” That’s who you are. Are you doing that?

And I don’t mean, “Well, I’m 80% there.” She’s not asking for that.

 

“We’re praying three hours a day Mary.”

 

“No, I want four hours.”

 

No armies and no weapons can defeat God’s angels, because that’s who will fight for us if we live His Commandments, if we live His ways. He works out the details. And it could be through our armaments. But it’s what I’ve said many times, a people’s not so protected by their armaments as they are their way of life.

 

We’ve seen the Israelites down on their numbers and win.

 

We’ve seen the Israelites huge in their numbers against a few numbers of their enemies, and they lose.

 

What made the difference is not how powerful or weak they were, whether they were powerful in God’s eyes as His children. A good father will protect his children. A good father would admonish his children through the lash across his back. And that’s where we’re headed. It’s a given.

 

“…God gave you the grace to live and to defend all the good that is in you and around you, and to inspire others to be better and holier; but satan, too, does not sleep and through modernism diverts you…”

 

“…through modernism diverts you…”

 

“…and leads you to his way…live His Commandments. In this way, your life will have meaning and peace will rule on [the] earth…”

 

August 2, 2011, “Evil wants to come to rule the world and to destroy it.” She tells you right there, May 25^th, how to avoid that.

 

September 25, 1991

“…I beseech all of you to offer prayers and sacrifices for my intentions so I can present them to God for what is most necessary. Forget your desires, dear children, and pray for what God desires and not for what you desire…”

 

I found, in Medjugorje, in a Poem of the Man-God that I had left over there, and something I had written back home through a fax years ago. I think it was 2004. And I had been talking to Marija that day, and I write to the Community back that Marija revealed something that’s pretty incredible. And what it said was that Marija had told me, today, that when we pray for Our Lady’s intentions, She immediately can act on what we pray for, rather that we begging and we doing novenas, we’re saying all these things. Give it to Our Lady’s intentions, and She’s going to immediately be able to…We free Her, it said, to act immediately. And She’s saying that.

 

“…offer prayers and sacrifices for my intentions so I can present them to God for what is most necessary…”

 

She knows the garbage that you’re adding to it. You need Cheerios, not Honey Nut Cheerios. You just need the raw stuff. You’re adding everything else. It’s your sugar.

 

“…for what is most necessary. Forget your desires, dear children, and pray for what God desires and not for what you desire…”

 

She reemphasizes that.

 

And so often, we’re praying for our desires.

 

“Get my enemy.”

 

Let God deal with him. Pray for him. Release him. That’s the worst thing you can do to somebody. Put them in God’s hands and be free of it!

 

If we continue committing our sins, not turning back to God, not living our life according to him.

 

Our Lady tells us,

 

“…Dear children, satan is very strong and, therefore, I ask you to dedicate your prayers to me so that those who are under his influence may be saved. Give witness by your life, sacrifice your lives for the salvation of the world…”

 

St. Francis didn’t get that.

 

A people and the world, never in the history of the world, has gotten this. It wasn’t somebody who was holy and chosen as a saint, like St. Theresa or one of the greats or St. John of the Cross or St. Ignatius Loyola. They do things and really put their life on the line. Our Lady called six visionaries who were normal people to become saints to be chosen for a great task that they could never fathom that first day they were chosen upon. And Our Lady says here, “sacrifice” to you. Not just to me. To you. “…sacrifice your [life] for the salvation of the world…” Never have you had such great power to have such influence for generations that are yet to be born, and the present.

 

And if Marija told us here in 1988 that the angels call it upon Mary…to be called upon by Mary is the greatest task, one of the greatest tasks in their state of being. Think of when they were created, all the way to eternity, that just to be called to come down here in the Bedroom by Mary, three of them one day, some the other day, one day there were thousands…They hold that as one of their greatest moments in their state of being.

 

What does it mean to be called upon by Our Lady to sacrifice your life for the salvation of the world. We’re still, She says, “I stand before you, humbly, your free will.” (November 25, 1987)

 

Great will be the judgment upon us. Great will be the responsibility. What did you do with the investment? Every single apparition here I look as an investment. What am I going to do with it? I can’t exaggerate it because I don’t know enough about it to do that. We don’t go bragging about 180 plus apparition. We look at ourselves and think, “Uh-oh. We’re deeper in trouble.” We’re going to be judged more. To whom much is given, much is expected. We have to do what we do. We can’t run from it.

 

“Where will we go, Jesus? What will we do?” when they were given that about the teaching of the Eucharist. And many left!

 

Our Lady said on July 31, 1986,

 

“Dear children, hatred gives birth to dissensions and does not regard anyone or anything…”

 

This is what’s wrong in the family today. This is what’s wrong in the nation. If there’s no peace in the family, there’s no peace in the nation. There’s no peace in the individual, there’s no peace in the family.

 

“…hatred gives birth to dissensions and does not regard anyone or anything…”

 

Great loss.

 

“…I call you always to bring harmony and peace. Especially, dear children, in the place where you live, act with love. Let your only instrument always be love. By love turn everything into good which satan desires to destroy and possess. Only that way will you be completely mine and I shall be able to help you…”

 

September 25, 1992

“…I am with you also in these restless days in which satan wishes to destroy everything which I and my Son, Jesus, are building up…”

 

If you stop building with the message, if you want to get on a level plane, or if you want to go backwards, or you don’t want to do it no more, you’re not building up. Our Lady’s investing every day in an apparition blessing the world.

 

In fact, I talked to Marija yesterday. I was supposed to talk to her and her husband a little while ago, but I had to come down here to talk. But I’m going to ask her if she’ll ask Our Lady to bless us at the Cross Thursday, when we go up Thursday morning.

 

What does it mean to us that we can go before the Virgin Mary, and not go to a saint, Padre Pio, and please and do novenas to him and, “Please, please,” and wonder how much he prays, that we can pick up a phone and call somebody and say, “Hey, would you tell the Virgin Mary this while you got Her on the line?” [LAUGHTER]

 

It’s unreal that we can do this, but it’s a reality that we know we can, or at least we can here being given that gift.

 

People will look back on this time and just be spellbound in awe and wonder at what was made available to us and how thick-headed and how little we participated and how little we sacrificed our life for the salvation for the world. We’ve been given every opportunity to do everything, and Our Lady says, “I will give you,” here, in the message in the Bedroom, “I will give you everything to help you.” (November 23, 1988)

 

Her three months here was a whole constitutional basis for our whole community. I didn’t know it at the time.

 

“…my Son, Jesus, are building up. In a special way he [satan] wishes to destroy your souls. He wishes to guide you as far away as possible from Christian life as well as from the Commandments, to which the Church is calling you so you may live them. satan wishes to destroy everything which is holy in you and around you…”

 

And you don’t have to have money. You don’t have to be smart. You can be ignorant. Everybody, no matter what your position, how powerful you are, you’re weak, whatever, everybody is in this plan. Everybody’s chosen to give their life for the salvation of the world.

 

And some, “Well, I can’t do what other people do.” They look at somebody that’s got money. They look at somebody like us that has an operation like this.

 

Mary stood at the kitchen sink, basically Her whole life, meaning Her motherhood, and has done more for God than anybody else out there will ever do, all of us put together.
