Medjugorje is not just another village or a shrine. Is the Holy Lands a shrine? No, it is a living place where the living God walked the earth. To “shrine” the Holy Land and its sites is to degradate its importance in the history of the world. Medjugorje is a place where the living Mother of God has walked the earth for over three decades. Mary, the Virgin of Nazareth, Mother of Jesus, has said of Medjugorje:

No! Do not pass off Medjugorje as just another apparition site. It is the plan, both here on earth and in eternity, where the Woman of Revelation came and was made known for who She truly is. The Virgin Mary was the cradle who held Jesus as an infant and the One who cradled Him, dead, at the foot of the Cross. She now comes, in this Her time, in Her final apparitions on earth, to cradle a dead world that in Her arms will resurrect refulgently and radiantly as Her Son did after leaving Her arms, three days after His death.
