54-Day Rosary Novena and Other Important Prayers Before November

Following are three important prayers to take part in until the November 2020 elections in the United States:

• 54-day Rosary Novena, beginning today, September 9, 2020, and ending November 2, 2020. See here to download for free, the 54-day Rosary novena, written by a Friend of Medjugorje, or see here to order online in a printed book, also available in a large print format.

• Patriotic Rosary Novena, praying each month, whether at home or whether joining us here at Caritas. The next day Patriotic Rosary Novena will be Saturday, September 12, 2020. See here for more…

• The 9-day bread and water fast. We are being told daily, how much this fast means to people who are joining, and we are seeing that this year, there is a greater excitement than in the previous few years. See here for more about the 9-day bread and water fast.

Cross on Penitentiary Mountain, Caritas of Birmingham

(Caritas photo taken July 8, 2020) – The Cross, built for the Soul of America, is one of three places marked by Heaven, through Our Lady’s apparitions here, to Medjugorje visionary Marija. The other two places are the Bedroom of Apparitions and the Field of Appartions. This year, special Patriotic Rosary novenas have been prayed at the Cross each month. The next novena at the Cross is September 12, 2020.

One month after the war broke out in the former Yugoslavia, Our Lady of Medjugorje said, July 25, 1991:

“Dear children, I desire you to grasp the seriousness of the situation and that much of what will happen depends on your prayers, and you are praying a little bit!”

For the situation of our Nation and the world, we cannot be praying enough during this time. Take up your Rosary and pray, pray, pray, and continue to daily add the prayer which a Friend of Medjugorje instituted many years ago:

Mary, we pray for a new spirit of God to dwell in our hearts.
