Our Lady’s Heart bleeds because of what?

When Our Lady of Medjugorje said on April 25, 2016:
 

“…My Immaculate Heart bleeds as I look at you in sin and sinful habits…”

…did we look in our hearts at “you” or out to others at “you?”

Before the major sins of society can be corrected, it is God’s people first who must be corrected. For many Christians, we observe nine out of God’s Ten Commandments and leave one out as “small.” A Friend of Medjugorje, after years of praying and sacrificing found himself confronted with this Commandment. In talking to God, he said that it would make no difference if he lived this Commandment because everyone else would be breaking it. But, he writes:
 

“…The voice of my conscious said, “You will have to stand in judgment before Me by contributing to it.” I was shaken, not so much by this voice in my heart, but by the realization that I had no more excuses to rationalize my actions, and it was at this point I committed to living this precept of God despite the cost…” ¹

We can be a balm for Our Lady’s bleeding heart if we decide to be true before God, run to Confession and commit to living God’s commandments. A Friend of Medjugorje speaks from experience and conviction that our not doing this contributes to the evils in the world as a whole:
 

“…We, who live Christianity today, are no longer a holy people. Our Lady wants you to be holy, to live holy, to change the direction of your life, to change and convict society. We are to be salt. Salt preserves that which is prone to decay. The meat (society) decays because the salt (Christians) has gone flat. We no longer have the convicting power of light. We do not live light, and darkness prevails. We must become children of light for the children in darkness. You must kill small sin in your life to kill big sin in the lives of others…” ²

Before we can confront abortion, abomination and a host of other evils, we need to confront the sins in the “you” of ourselves.
