We are now in the midst of the final day of the Medjugorje Pilgrimage sale, which ends tonight at midnight. We wanted to share a few testimonies which shows, that one does not have to go to Medjugorje because they need something, but also to celebrate something.
Thousands gather around Our Lady during one of Ivan’s prayer groups in Medjugorje, and Our Lady appears. Our Lady often comes very joyful during these prayer groups, often saying how happy She is to see so many people. Our Lady desires us to go to Medjugorje and is happy to have us in Her presence.
The following couple will be celebrating 45 years of marriage during this Medjugorje pilgrimage:
“…The burden of saving for this pilgrimage was made light in the fact that we were each saving for the other without knowledge of it, and it made it all the sweeter when we discovered that is what we had been doing. We have the best Valentine’s Day gift and the best 45th Anniversary gift all wrapped up together. But more than the gift, we are looking at the Giver. We placed our wish many years ago with Her [Our Lady]. The only request made was that we please get to Medjugorje while She is still appearing. She made it possible! She is above all gifts. We are Rejoicing… thank you for Rejoicing with us…”

Another couple joining this BVM Caritas Medjugorje Pilgrimage group is celebrating 50 years of marriage, and this pilgrimage is a wedding anniversary gift!
Another woman went to Medjugorje 30 years ago. She is going again this year to celebrate her 30th anniversary of going to Medjugorje.
We contacted an elderly woman, whose daughter paid for her trip and is also going to Medjugorje with her. We told her that everything was booked and told her, “Congratulations, you’re going to Medjugorje!” The elderly woman started crying on the phone and said, “This is a dream come true that I’ve had for a very… very long time..”
A Friend of Medjugorje wrote:
“…God has been giving us many gifts in Medjugorje; this should fill us with joy…The Medjugorje apparitions are to save us, to bring us to Heaven. Heaven can start right here on this earth if we live what Our Lady asks. From day to day we have to prepare ourselves to be closer and closer to God, ready to receive His gifts…”1
We have a great gift with Our Lady every day. If one prays, one can begin to experience Heaven right here on earth. But, some might think they are not in need of anything, and therefore have no need to go to Medjugorje. Many years ago, on a Caritas Pilgrimage group with a Friend of Medjugorje, Fr. Ken Roberts said that, “…the more you think you don’t need Medjugorje, the more you really do need it…”
We know this is true. However, there are some out there who do not think they “need” anything. There are plenty of people who go to Medjugorje not because of need, but because of gratefulness, or to celebrate. This is also something one needs to do.
