What Passes Before Us

Medjugorje visionary Mirjana, August 2, 2016, moments before she relayed the message from Our Lady to the world.

Did we grasp what Our Lady was really telling us on August 2, 2016? There are many messages within this one message. But, did we understand the person Who was speaking and what She was saying? This time, Her time, is as a Friend of Medjugorje wrote 17 years ago:

 

“…We, in the present*, as children of Mary, are in a first position, the front seats in the amphitheater of history that places us in the view the apostles had when Jesus told them:

“Truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”¹

But, are we sitting in this front position in this moment of history and not really hearing? Not really seeing? What passes before us everyday in the apparitions, Who speaks to us on the 25th and the 2nd of the month, will be better known by future peoples, who will look at men today and wonder, who were those Apostles of Our Lady? Will we leave those future peoples the wonder of heroes and great witnesses of Her presence in the world? Or will we leave them in wonder of how hard our hearts were, that we did not see Who was speaking to us, that we did not hear what She was trying to tell us? Future men will indict the Apostles of this time as guilty or not guilty. We, by our lives, determine the verdict.

Everyday this month, we should be praying to Our Lady to give us the grace to grasp what She is trying to tell us in Her August 2, 2016 message. Do not let this month go by without becoming so familiar with Her words that we almost memorize them.
