Our Lady of Medjugorje said on October 25, 2017:
Problems, affliction and suffering cannot be avoided. It is how we deal with them that determines our happiness and peace. No place is this truer than in the home.
Two young “pilgrims” in Medjugorje, outside St. James Church. The exposure to prayer and a life of holiness, more than preaching is the witness that helps children choose for God or against Him.
Our Lady of Medjugorje, when once asked about a young man who disappeared from home for a week, said:

In a truly wise statement, Our Lady acknowledges the trouble in the home, yet does not excuse the 16-year old boy for causing some of the problems. What happens in the home effects the whole of society. A society of broken homes results in a broken society. Today, for example, marks the 50th anniversary, in which abortion was made legal in Great Britain, claiming the lives of 8 million babies. However, abortion, which is a great evil, is a symptom of yet another problem which begins in the home. Our Lady has come to show us that the healing of the home will result in a healing of society, as a Friend of Medjugorje wrote many years ago:
“A house is an empty place built for people to stay in. A home is spiritual, a place in which you live that is sacred, a place that must be created.”2
As we continue towards Christmas, just 2 months away, meditate on creating out of your house, a home. Then great evils like abortion and a host of other societal ills will begin to be healed as well.

I am a City Girl … but God called me to be away from it and made me embrace the country life with His beautiful gift of sacrament of matrimony. ..first it was hard to eccept the change yet with prayer I understood My Father’s plan…He showed how simplicity of life …could lead to a rich life….yes our little house be came a home with two beautiful children. first a girl. then on our knees my husband and I prayed ;” God if you could send a son .but let your will be done..soon we were blessed with a son .whom I named John. as a reminder of Jesus’s close Apostle. ..My children grew with prayer..song and beauty of God’s love..we are blessed to have a church near which is consecrated to Virgin Mary. ..I receive most body and blood of Jesus daily at the chapel near our home .where Brothers of Charity stay…this brings lot of blessings to our home…my brothers and sisters who live in the city enjoy their lives with material goodies while I set my eyes to the nature and see God..
