Prepare your hearts and your home to make Medjugorje memories this winter…

Our Lady in Medjugorje tells us that if we want to be happy, to live a simpler life. Take Her messages to heart, and prepare your hearts and your home to make Medjugorje memories this winter, which leads to future.
As we head towards colder weather, the Community of Caritas stacks firewood in preparation for winter, anticipating the making of many memories: Rosaries, hot chocolate and joy around a warm fire, family, and contemplating Our Lady’s love.
Just as those who gather firewood for winter or like those who hear of a hurricane coming and do everything necessary in advance to prepare, so also in the same way Our Lady is calling us to build Her messages into life, taking action spiritually and physically. Our Lady said recently, June 24, 2011:
The following excerpt from A Friend of Medjugorje was written in 1994 and gives ideas to physically and spiritually build Our Lady’s messages into your family life this fall and winter.
“So, what would an example of a physical change that could aid and nourish a spiritual change? What kind of environment does your home lend itself to be? With fall coming, do an inventory. Do you have an extra room? Get rid of the TV. Make it into your own private library. Find a whole wall in your living room, den, sunroom, side porch, etc., and build a fireplace. Not just a dinky one, but a real one. Then make it the center of your succession of events each evening—the fire, it’s warmth and coziness, the family Rosary in front of the fireplace, the conversations, the contemplative reflection will lead to growing in more ideas and inspirations of building your direction into a way of life. If you cannot do the preceding example, buy an outdoor fire pit which, while it’s not the same as a fireplace, could be used some nights. This, in turn, can parallel your spiritual life, developing and growing into more physical change in your life.”
