“We wait for…tomorrow”

“We wait for…tomorrow”

August 24, 2012 A.D.

Pilgrims began gathering before 7:00 PM, and for all those who came, were greeted by various Rosaries and singing sprinkled atop Apparition Mountain. After praying the Sorrowful mysteries, and just moments before Our Lady came, a single shooting star was seen in the sky, perhaps, a forerunner of the Queen Who would come tonight, crowned with twelve stars. Our Lady came just after 10:00 PM and She stayed for around nine minutes. Following is Ivan’s description of the apparition tonight:

“Tonight as every day after the meeting with Our Lady, I would like to share with you what is the most important from tonight’s meeting with Our Lady. Tonight also, Our Lady came to us very joyful and happy and at the beginning as always She greeted us with Her Motherly greeting, Praised be Jesus, my dear children.

Then Our Lady extended Her arms and for a while prayed over all of us here. In a special way She prayed over the sick present here. She then blessed all of us with Her Motherly Blessing and blessed all religious articles brought for blessing. I recommended all of you, your needs, your intentions, your families and especially the sick. Our Lady then prayed tonight for a longer time especially for priests, bishops and, in a special way for the Holy Father. Then Our Lady briefly spoke to me alone which remains only between us. Again, I would like to emphasize what is most important, and that is that Our Lady truly prayed for priests, bishops and in a special way for the Holy Father. She also prayed for a longer time over all of us and especially for the sick. You know that tomorrow is the 25th, and on every 25th of the month, Our Lady addresses with Her message for the whole world. We wait for this message tomorrow and we will see what Our Lady desires and asks of us. Thank you.

After that conversation, Our Lady left in an illuminated Sign of the Cross with a greeting ‘Go in peace, my dear children.’”

Medjugorje Pilgrims August 24, 2012

Pilgrims climbing Apparition Mountain in Medjugorje this evening, August 24, 2012.

Our Lady called Her children again to Apparition Mountain tonight at 10:00 PM Medjugorje time. And while preparing for Our Lady to come there, our hearts and thoughts turned to those all throughout the world, who gathered in their prayer corner to greet Our Lady on their knees and in prayer. Perhaps they were climbing a mountain of their own, spiritual in nature, but no less arduous than the physical climb up Apparition Mountain. Tonight, the Community of Caritas carried all of you and your intentions, your hardships and trials, your joys and merits, and placed them before Our Lady. It is our desire for all those who cannot physically be in Medjugorje, that you can be transported there, if only spiritually to be before Our Lady. You were carried there tonight.

A Friend of Medjugorje

Young girl in Medjugorje praying August 24, 2012

A young girl prays her Rosary awaiting the time of Our Lady’s apparition on top of Apparition Mountain, tonight, in Medjugorje. A Friend of Medjugorje has often relayed one his first experiences when he began going to Medjugorje 25 years ago of the Friday night prayer group that had a profound impact on him.

It was a Friday night in Medjugorje, back in the mid-80’s, and Our Lady had called the visionaries and the prayer group up Cross Mountain for an evening apparition. The enthusiastic singing and praying of the youth created a joy that was contagious. A Friend of Medjugorje was sitting near the prayer group, on top of this mountain in the dark and he marveled at what Our Lady was doing in Medjugorje. Watching these young people late into the night, he began to think about the youth around the world. What were they doing? Friday night has become synonymous with sin in many countries around the world. Drinking, carousing, crime, and worse, is normal Friday night activity for so many youth. But look at what Our Lady was doing with the youth of Medjugorje. Here, on this Friday night, these Medjugorje youth climbed Cross Mountain and were joyfully praying for the salvation of the world. He thought, what if youth began doing this all across the world on Friday nights. It was a revelation to him about Medjugorje and what Our Lady was doing. She was creating a witness for Her children to follow, and by this witness, She would change the world.

Crowds in Medjugorje August 24, 2012

Thousands pour down from Apparition Mountain this evening, after Our Lady’s apparition. Will they all become saints, just from being in Our Lady’s presence? It is not so easy to become a saint, though it is without doubt a great grace to receive Our Lady’s blessing to strengthen our desire for holiness. In A Friend of Medjugorje’ writing, “Our Lady’s 7 Steps To….Set the Captives Free,” he speaks of how Our Lady gives us wisdom to create in our hearts the desire for the “only good”:

“Just recently, on a curb in a near-by shopping mall, we read the following words that were carved into the cement by someone unknown. The statement read, ‘Desire is slavery.’ It is interesting to ponder who this anonymous writer was to write something so out of character for the culture we live in today. And yet, it speaks truth in a profound way for anyone who cares to take notice of it as they step on to the curb heading for the block long shops lining the street. satan has done his work in creating his web. Television, magazines, billboards, radio, the internet, commercials, newspapers, the music industry all play their part in consuming our thoughts, our desires, our wants, our free time, our money directed towards everything but what is our “only good.” But Our Lady does what She can to persuade us to break loose from this web.

  1. I just found this article and I enjoyed it so much. Today is Sept. 30th at 6:00 in the morning. I’m sorry the Dallas Texas date has passed, even though I would not been able to afford to go there. I don’t know anything about the book, all I know is that I can’t stop crying right now. The tears just flow like a stream. Why? why? with the pictures you just took me to Medjugore. Thank you
