In 2008, it was being said that our nation was in the most serious moral crisis of its history. Every year since then, our nation has increasingly moved further and further towards the plans of darkness, both publicly and in hidden ways. Every time it is thought that things cannot possibly get worse, a new plan of evil emerges to bring our nation even further into the depths of darkness. Never has our nation seen such a convergence of evil assailing every aspect of life. Just what has been done recently against the Church has escalated it to such a degree that the situation is desperate. Our Lady said on February 2, 2012:
Through the grace of the Medjugorje apparitions, Our Lady, Queen of Peace, has revealed many plans to help heal our society, and to enlighten us to the path that we should be walking. Our Lady’s messages through 30 years of apparitions show and tell us more than ever of the grave situation we are facing. Our Lady, in the Bedroom of Apparitions and Field of Apparitions, has enlightened many to the plight of our nation. Those who do not listen to Our Lady and do not begin this path She has shown us now, will miss a grace that later will be the cause of lamentation.

Life as we’ve known it is about to change, and we will not see it return as we’ve known and lived it. The two sites of the Bedroom and Field of Apparitions, located at Caritas, have been graced by 163 apparitions of the Virgin Mary over the past 24 years, though She has been with the founder’s family and the community at other locations bringing the total to 183 apparitions over the years. The 163 apparitions on the sacred ground of Caritas have occurred in 1988, 1989, 1994, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, July/August 2005, November 2005, 2008, February 2009, July 2009 and 2011. This does not include the many times the community has been blessed to have Our Lady in their mission and home in Medjugorje. The primary site of the apparitions has been in the Bedroom of a consecrated “beloved home” with 128 apparitions in this room. The Field was consecrated to Our Lady for the conversion of our nation. The two sites are connected in that the Bedroom represents the family, “the home,” and the Field represents our nation. Nations cannot hope to heal without first healing the family home. In 2009, over 4,000 flowers were arranged in the Bedroom, representing the hearts of people from across the United States & around the world, to show their love and devotion to Our Lady in the last days of Her apparitions to Marija at Caritas. Marija was inspired and some community members joined in to help her form a heart out of roses on top of the Bed that would receive Our Lady.
You Can Charter Your Own Bus!
We encourage you to charter a bus of your own for the July 1–5, 2012 visit. Look in the Yellow Pages for charter companies in your area. For many who cannot afford to fly, coming by bus is less expensive. It provides you with transportation from the hotel to Caritas each day, and coming with a group can bring you to a deeper pilgrimage experience, as you are journeying and praying together with many who are longing for a deeper relationship and experience with God. In a group setting, often the sharing of faith, hearing other peoples’ walk in conversion, is a powerful tool in the hand of God to bring forth stronger conversions in each other. On February 3, 1994, in the 2nd apparition of Our Lady in the Field, while facing where the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages was being built, Our Lady stretched out Her hands in a silent blessing that lasted a full 10 minutes. There had been great resistance and attack, through jealousy, against the Tabernacle being built among some in the Medjugorje movement. This gesture of Our Lady gave confidence to continue to build and move forward in what She was inspiring here. Today, it is not possible to calculate how many souls have been helped and saved through the work that goes on in the Tabernacle over the past 19 years since its completed construction.
The Bedroom of Apparitions is the birthplace of Our Lady’s apparitions at Caritas. At the foot of this Bed, adorned with flowers and petitions, Marija has knelt to receive Our Lady 128 times since 1988. The Bedroom has been a special place to pray for the healing of families and is only open during Caritas’ annual Prayer Gatherings or special spiritual events. It will be open for you on scheduled days during July 1–5, 2012, for you to pray there and bring Our Lady your needs for yourself, your marriage, your family or friends, or for healing and to give gratitude. The Bedroom is an extraordinary, special place for the heart.

A line of people twists up the hill to go and pray in the Bedroom of Apparitions. Well over one hundred thousand people have visited the Bedroom of Apparitions. Within these walls, the Holy Virgin Mary has appeared physically to Marija Lunetti, seeing Her as we see another person. Marija can speak to Her, touch Her, and hear Her voice. Our Lady has appeared to her in this same way every day since June 25, 1981. Our Lady came to the world as a Mother to heal a broken world, resulting from the family being broken. That is why Our Lady chose the Bedroom, for it is where families are born. Our Lady said She wants the “fruits of the family to be seen one day.”
The Field of Apparitions was birthed from the Bedroom. In 1988, thousands began to find their way to Alabama from all corners of this nation, longing to be in Our Lady’s presence. The apparitions began in the Bedroom. All could not physically fit in the home where the Bedroom was located, yet the Field enveloped all as a blanket bringing warmth and a feeling of home. As the thousands came, gathering around the home, Our Lady one day said She would appear the next day outside near a pine tree. Many began to gather in the Field who knew nothing of the family that knelt in prayer on the blanket next to them, but they became one under Our Lady’s mantle. Our Lady chose Thanksgiving day, November 24, 1988, to appear for the first time to Marija in the Field for all those gathered. She said from this spot, “I invite you to live my messages. I am here to help you! I will intercede for you to God for all your intentions.” For the visiting people, a visit to the Bedroom and the Field of Apparitions is a rebirth for their spirits…a new dawn. Many testify they never experienced anything close to what Our Lady has given in the Bedroom and Field anywhere else and that the grace is renewed, even by just visiting the grounds Our Lady has appeared upon.

Dear Friend of Medjugorje and Community of Caritas,
With the beginning of Lent 2012 we are reminded of our Lent 2011 and our visit to Caritas where Our Lady was appearing to visionary, Marija. We met you, A Friend of Medjugorje, in January of 2011, at a talk you gave in West Covina, California. We could not get enough of what you had to share. We wanted so much more. The next day we began a 54-day Rosary Novena in preparation for our trip to Caritas. We had never prayed a novena like that before and didn’t know really what to expect.
We also began fasting on Wednesdays and Fridays. By Ash Wednesday (2011) we were determined to give a 9 DAY FAST to Our Lady for Her intentions and a few intentions of our own as well. ˜º The following week we began our drive to Caritas with a list of petitions in hand and again not really knowing what to expect.
We stayed at Caritas from early morning to the end of the day for 5 days. We were present, in the Field, for all of Our Lady’s apparitions. We believed. We knew, intellectually, that these events were true. On the last day we visited the Bedroom of Apparitions. It was here that our hearts were touched. It was here where we felt love. It was in the Bedroom that we knew that the petitions we brought to Our Lady, petitions for our family, were heard and accepted. Each one of them seemed impossible to us. Two, in particular we would like to share with you.
Amazingly, Our Lady has truly interceded in the petition we brought to her regarding our daughter. She was in an abusive marriage with an unfaithful man. She had taken her daughter and moved out of the home for her safety. She lived with us for six months while they attended marriage counseling at our parish. When we returned from Caritas we shared all with our daughter. She began praying and fasting for her marriage. The power of prayer is AWESOME. Our son-in-law joined us at Christmas Eve Mass. He asked our daughter to make an appointment for him to speak with the priest. He told her, “I want to go to Heaven. Can you help me?” He has gone to Confession for the first time since his first Confession when he was a child and he received Our Lord in the Eucharist. Our Lady is working on him and we are absolutely amazed. It seemed impossible to us but we are reminded that nothing is impossible to God.
Our life has been changed. We are not the same. We are praying together, like never before. Our choices are changing…Keeping the Lord’s Day holy, no TV, working toward sustenance living. Though our struggles are the same we seem to find bits of peace in it all. And we have so much more hope because of Our Lady’s messages. Another petition we brought to Our Lady was that She lead us through our financial difficulties to a piece of land that we could afford. We did not think it possible, based on realtor’s opinions and on our own searching, that we could ever acquire land in California at an affordable price. At the beginning of this Lent (2012) we closed escrow on a piece of land that we were able to pay cash for. We understand this is God’s land and we have consecrated it to Him and to Our Lady. We ask them to help us be good stewards of it. We know we have LOTS of WORK ahead of us, but we glean strength and assurance through your example.
There is much more conversion needed in our family and we pray Our Lord, through the intercession of His Blessed Mother, will turn our family’s hearts to Him. We are praying and we are re-aligning our life to Scripture and to the messages of Our Lady at Medjugorje. Thank you for introducing us to Our Lady at Medjugorje. Thank you for sharing Our Lady’s messages not only in words, but also in application and example. You are all an inspiration to us.

Guidelines to be Allowed on the Grounds.
♥ The following modesty rules will be strictly adhered to on the Caritas grounds, including parking areas. All violators will be turned away. No sleeveless or low cut dresses. No sleeveless or low cut shirts, blouses, or sweaters. Dresses and skirts must be below the knee. Only knee-length shorts will be allowed for both men and women. Capris may be worn. No gym shorts or other short clothing. No mid-drifts or clothing that exposes the back or stomach. No see-through clothing or clothing that has inappropriate writing or pictures on it. Casual dress, jeans, etc., is OK. We are speaking about modest dress. Please remember that you will not be going to the beach or out sunning. Dress appropriately for the day in preparation to go before the Holy Event of Our Lady’s apparition and other prayer times. Please save yourself the embarrassment of being turned away from the grounds of Caritas because of dress. It is important to inform all, so that no one will have to miss the apparitions. We do not want anyone to miss Our Lady’s apparitions to Marija, so repeatedly inform others and help make sure all are informed of this.
♥ No video cameras; no cameras, and absolutely no cell phone cameras are allowed. Violations will result in confiscation. You are on the grounds by invitation. Please remember, do not violate other pilgrims and the spirit of what is happening here. This is a serious violation of the spirit and reverence of the event and the grounds here. As a one day exception, and not for the apparition, photos, not videos, and not cell phone cameras, will be allowed on Monday, July 2, on the grounds. However, no cameras will be allowed at the time of the apparition even on this one day exception. Please remember this is allowed for your own personal mementos of the pilgrimage. Be discreet and respectful to others, when taking pictures, so as not to disrupt prayers.
♥ No lounge chairs, three-legged portable chairs, or similar chairs allowed in the Field. If one must sit, wheelchairs or electric motor chairs are to be used. It is your responsibility to make provisions for wheelchairs. This is a five-day offering of sacrifice, self-denial, and spiritual growth for your soul, not your flesh. As many have testified from their past experiences of the apparitions, the Bedroom, Field, Grotto, and other sites at Caritas, they relay that they were some of the most spiritual, moving, holiest moments they have ever experienced. Cameras, cell phones, etc., are all a distraction which inhibits the grace; the convenience of lounge chairs, etc., blocks sacrifices, which results in a loss of grace one could have received. Prayer is spontaneous and often throughout the day. Gum chewing is extremely irreverent during prayer or in the midst of others who are praying. Gum chewing is not allowed on the grounds. If you see someone doing it, please inform them to stop.
♥ Our Lady answers any objections to these rules, to be allowed on the Caritas grounds, by appearing on a rock strewn mountain in Medjugorje which is difficult to walk up, much less sit down comfortably once you are at the apparition site. For a peace-filled five days, please be reminded that Caritas has these guidelines for your benefit. The world may allow these things, but you are entering a world and a life, here at Caritas, created by Our Lady and Her messages.
♥ Parking – Anyone parking on the road must be off the white line or police will tow away your car. For safety of pedestrians, there is no parking on the road in front of the Field.
♥ Priests – Invite your parish priest. There will be a need to hear Confessions as we have always done in the past in the Field throughout the event. If you are a priest, we make a special invitation for you to come. The event promises a great grace for priests who come and hear Confessions. Priests experience conversion just as you will.
♥ Home Schoolers – Notify all home schooling friends, we will open our school during the days of July 1 through July 5. This school, Our Lady of Victory’s School, is a community effort, evolved from home schooling, that has inspired other home schoolers with many ideas based on Our Lady’s messages. It is always one of the highlights for those who visit here to see Our Lady of Victory’s ‘One Room’ Schoolhouse. Already other schools have been inspired by it. Walkthroughs will be scheduled throughout the 5 days.
♥ Evangelize the Apparitions – This material you are reading can be spread by you to promote Our Lady’s coming. Spread it to your family, friends, parish, etc. See page 15 to order for free. Just help us with shipping and handling costs. Get your church directory and mail to everyone.
♥ For the Elderly – In the past, some elderly have paid the way for a friend to accompany and help them. It is a good way to come, and a good way to evangelize the one who is accompanying you, for Our Lady to convert them. ˜º “So be wise as serpents and innocent as doves,” (Matthew 10:16) to convert one who comes to help accompany you.
♥ Prayer Groups – Ivan once said that satan hates prayer groups. Come with your whole prayer group to be with Our Lady. With your group being in Our Lady’s presence, She not only will bless you during the apparitions, but strengthen your group as well. It is Her desire to foster your prayer group. Our Lady said on September 25, 2000: “…Renew prayer in your families and form prayer groups. In this way, you will experience joy in prayer and togetherness…” Rent a van, bus, or meet up separately, whatever is necessary to answer Her call.
♥ Free primitive camping in a tent or self-contained camper is available for all who wish to come or who cannot afford to stay in a hotel. Primitive camping means no electricity. Port-O-Lets will be available. There will be portable shower units and water at a single location. Free firewood is also available, but bring your own grill. Caritas camping and parking is TV free, radio free, cell phone free, smoking free, and alcohol free. Violators will be asked to leave immediately. Call 205-672-2000, ext. 382, to reserve a spot in the primitive camping area.
♥ The Gift Shop will be fully stocked with beautiful items to have blessed by Our Lady in Her apparitions to Marija. It will be closed Sunday July 1, for the Sabbath.
♥ Making Reservations – Many hotels in the spring can book up early, so we recommend that you make reservations now. Listed on below are select hotels in which most are offering discounts for those coming in July. We are expecting that many will book up, so it is necessary to make reservations as soon as possible to assure your rooms. Please state this is for the Caritas of Birmingham group for Our Lady’s Apparitions of July 1–5, 2012, when making reservations. We encourage you to come all five days to spend time in prayer in preparation for each day’s apparition. Our Lady’s apparitions are a source of great graces for those who gather. By being on the site for July 1 and staying through July 5, or after, your experience will be greatly heightened. Even if circumstances at this moment do not seem possible for you to come—remember, prayer brings about miracles. So book your plans and pray, pray, pray, and Our Lady will work out the details. Whether it be lack of funds, job, family, etc., surrender to God the problem and give to Our Lady your desires. Pray short, ardent prayers and do novenas to be here. Schedule of Events
No matter at what point you joined us in praying for Our Nation, even if you are just now finding out, you can join thousands who have walked these 20 years of prayer for Our Nation3 and be present in the apparitions to give these prayers to Our Lady.
July 1 – The first apparition, you will bathe in the grace of Our Lady’s presence for repentance, forgiveness and revival.
July 2 – The second apparition of Our Lady you will consecrate yourself for the first time, or re-consecrate yourself to Jesus and Our Lady, in Her presence, during the apparition.
July 3 – The third apparition of Our Lady you will consecrate your family for the first time, or re-consecrate your family to Jesus and Our Lady, in Her presence, during the apparition.
July 4 – The fourth apparition of Our Lady you will, as a child of Mary, consecrate Our Nation for the first time, or re-consecrate Our Nation, as was accomplished July 4, 2008 and July 4, 2009, to Jesus and Our Lady, on the day of its birth, in Her presence, during the apparition.
July 5 – The fifth apparition of Our Lady you will give grateful thanksgiving, in Her presence, to God, for allowing Our Lady to come to this nation to heal it.

On the Hour Prayer: Three Hail Mary’s will be prayed on the top of every hour, from 9–5 for a nine-hour novena each day. We will offer these prayers for Our Lady’s intentions for the renewal of all the earth for a new springtime, for the Holy Spirit’s renewal of the Church, for the consecration of the retooled and expanded Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages, and for your own intentions for the Five Days. At the sound of the bells every hour, kneel down and pray the three Hail Mary’s to Our Lady.
The apparitions of Our Lady will be announced at the time Our Lady tells Marija. In the past Our Lady has told us the day before what time and where She will appear. This place is Hers and it has been a great joy for us in the way Our Lady has often done this for us; sometimes appearing in the morning, sometimes late at night, sometimes during the day, sometimes in the Field, and often times in the Bedroom. We surrender this to Our Lady with the joy that She will do what’s best for Her children. You may bring food on the grounds. Bring snacks, etc. Stay all day and be free to relish the peace here.
Special Note
There will be scheduled talks with Marija and A Friend of Medjugorje throughout the week. It will be important to attend and listen for the times of these talks and other events such as the visit to the Bedroom of Apparitions, the behind the scenes walk through the mission, the climb to Grotto La Pluie, and the Patriotic Rosary, which will be announced at our morning prayer at 8:30 am.

Our Lady’s return to the Bedroom and Field this coming July 1–5, 2012, will generate a great deal of excitement around the country. We encourage you to book your hotel rooms for the July 1–5 , 2012, (book for June 30th to July 6th or later because five days are full days on the grounds) apparitions as soon as possible. My sister told me there was going to be an important announcement on April 17th, so I got up at 5:30 to read your news. My husband and I were already planning a road-trip to Florida to be God-parents for our dear friends, so we rescheduled the trip to coincide with Our Lady’s request. We plan to camp with our young son. We will be with you in the spiritual preparations too. I’m praying that some of our older children will be able to come. My beloved and I have being following Our Lady of Medjugorje these many years now, and wish to participate with all our brothers and sisters in America, It is not possible for us to make the journey to Albama, Thank you for this wonderful chance to pray along with you all in Caritas. Our wish too is for the conversion of Our Country Ireland. Thanks to Our Blessed Mother for all the graces that are bestoyed upon us. my Dear friends , I was away from home from 31st march to 11th April as I have being in Divine Retreat center in Potta, Kerala In India. It was amazing inner healing. It is bit hard for us to come to Medjugorje. But Iam praying for God’s mercy.One day I will be there! Praise the Lord! Alleuia! May God Bless You all for sending every message for me, Thanks! and sending my Love and gratitude with this feed back. My husband is still the same and my family also the same, no trust in God. But i hope one day they will. Dear friends first of all I have to change my ways. So often I feel angry with them. I believe God’s children must show the difference. Please pray for me. I was blessed to make the trip in March 2011 and the event was life altering. This may be the last chance for you, I DO suggest you do what you can to make this pilgrimage. You need not be of any particular faith, for Our Blessed Mother is Mother to us all. Come, pray, and be alongside others who seek God’s will in their lives. If you need to pray for your friends and family – this is the place. If you wish to have articles to receive a unique blessing – this is the place. If you seek physical and spiritual healing – this is the place. I had an important family vacation planned which I am now canceling, it is that important. I just wanted to share with you our experience visiting you back in July, 2009. I still read and pray from that booklet you handed out! I came with my family, and several “interesting” things occured. My family was not as committed as I and I went out alone and planned to go an event at Caritas later alone. They chose to stay behind at the hotel and swim. When I stopped at the hotel to check in they had all gotten out of the pool because of an overload of chlorine that made swimming unbearable. My husband admitted, “I guess God really wanted us to go.” And they ended up going with me.
Thank you – I will be with you in spirit and will continue to pray. My prayer is that God’s holy angels always walk before you on your journey in life. Again, many thanks!

Dear Caritas, Regarding today’s announcement: My first thought was, “I can’t go.” Then, I decided to see what 4 airplane tickets would cost (husband, me, 2 young kids). I booked the flights and thought, “What have I done? I haven’t even consulted my husband! What will he say? He won’t want to come. He’ll be angry.” I felt very worried, and decided to open “Words From Heaven” and see what Our Lady says about it. I opened to page 97. At the bottom of the page, Our Lady’s message of June, 1981: “I invite you. I need you. I chose you. You are important.” So, who can deny Our Lady? Praise be to Jesus!

My only daughter is expecting her first child and her due date is June 29th! My mother in law has cancer and was just diagnosed. I want to come so bad but I only see obstacles.
