We rarely publish a letter from individuals who make an appeal to all of you around the world who regularly go on Medjugorje.com. The following is self-explanatory and urgent.
“Hi, myself and my friends visit Medjugorje a few times every year and are supporters of your fantastic site.
“I would like to make an urgent Plea to “Friend of Medjugorje” and to Our Blessed Mother that you can help our Country Ireland in our hour of need.
“You may or may not be aware but the forces of evil are trying to bring abortion [slaughter of the innocence] into our Country.
“With the help of outside forces our “Government” have called a referendum on unrestricted abortion for the 25th of this month which is Our Lady’s month and I am begging you to ask all your apostles to pray to Mary to protect our country from satan.
“We have been praying, getting Masses said and calling on our Saints and ancestors to intercede to Jesus and Mary for our small country but things look on a knife edge with the usual misinformation being feed by the Pro Abortion lobby and unfortunately the truth is the first thing that has gone out the window. We all know that the Rosary and Our Blessed Mother can defeat the lies of satan but perhaps if everybody in your community prayed for us and the thousands of unborn babies that will be murdered if this referendum we will see victory over the power of darkness.
“Thank You in advance and I know your blessings and prayers will be with us.”

Ireland needs desperate help to change many hearts in their country. This assault of the May 25, 2018 Referendum for abortion, if passed, will be a double blow against Ireland’s survival. The first blow was on May 22, 2015. We wrote of the 2015 Referendum very clearly in an open letter to Ireland. Part of the letter stated:
“…Ireland is the first nation in the world that has voted by popular vote for perverted, abominable false unions, masking them as marriage – what cannot be, what is impossible to be. The majority have voted to defy natural law which is nature’s law, which is Divine Law – a Christian nation who has defied its God, who now brings, not a judgment from God, but a self-inflicted judgment upon themselves by rejecting God. God withdraws where His Law and ways are rejected, turning man over to himself. History has shown that those who think they can continue without God, cannot and will not.”
The letter to Ireland finishes, consoling and encouraging those of Our Lady who love and mourn their nation’s path.
“…We pray for those good and downtrodden sheep of Ireland who are mourning the death of their nation. You, as Our Lady’s apostles, are Ireland’s only hope for resurrection from its vote of death.” [The May 22, 2015 Referendum]

AND FASTING NOVENA
By A Friend of Medjugorje on Behalf of the Nation of Ireland
O Queen of Heaven, we unite ourselves with others across the land in a holy fast, reminiscent of the so many times ancient Israel cried out in repentance to their God. By their history, we know God the Most High will hear our cry. We humble ourselves because of our sins. Seek, Mary our Queen, on our behalf, that the Lord not look upon our sins, but the love we show Him through this fast. Persuade Him to not only forgive but also forget and blot out our sins, that through Your hands we will grow close to Him and know Him intimately as a Father, as our Protector.
O Mary, these days of fasting we wish to empty our hearts of everything useless. Cleanse us. Let this fast purify us and atone for everything that has defiled us. O Mary, Queen of Peace, let our hearts be refilled through Your hands with whatever graces are necessary to reconcile us, our families, and our nation back to God. We wish also to atone for any wrongs so that all be consecrated to Your Immaculate Heart, to purify the body of believers in order for the rebirth and the ushering in of a new springtime for Christianity in our beloved nation…
We seek the healing of our hearts of all spiritual disease and illness and for You to fill our hearts. Please, please, dear Mother, please grant us these requests, and grant as well my own personal intentions of (name your personal intentions). We pray especially that the Referendum on May 25, 2018, to make abortion legal in our nation fail completely and that You block satan’s influence in every way. In this month of May given to You for Your honor, we offer to You, Mary, the day of May 25, 2018, that on that day the plans of satan against ourselves, our family, and nation will be thwarted and grace will abound for conversion across our land.
We consecrate our hearts to You, Mary, and to Jesus. We want to give You and Jesus “title” of not only our souls, but also our bodies, as well as all we possess. We know Your words of January 1, 2001, when You revealed that satan was completely unchained, were followed with what our response should be. It was to give ourselves to You and Jesus completely, as a possession into Your and His hands, through the formal daily act of consecration, thereby, owned by You and Your Son, we are afforded protection through being Your possession.

We, therefore, present to You the intention to empty our hearts that You may refill them, as well as our personal intentions through this nine-day fast, prayers and consecrations, in order that You will present this novena with your Son before the throne of God. We ask for an unleashing of grace to be poured out upon ourselves, our families, our nation, and upon the countless numbers who are in need of conversion throughout our land, and Your intentions for all of the above intentions. I had to send this text to some Irish radio stations this week out of anger: Who ever the presenter was, is it true that not even the Nazis achieved what we did last Friday, the public voted in the decimation of very small babies, no other country in the European union can claim such a boast. Dear Caritas, I am a scotsman living in Ireland with voting rights. Like Robert I want to thank all in your community for your prayers. We know that this referendum on the innocent unborn is a battle between Good and pure EVIL. So many of the politicians in power had previously claimed to be be Pro-Life, but these same politicians have dropped all other issues in the country to promote the repeal of the 8th amendment that correctly acknowledges the right to life of the unborn. They have the full support of the majority of the Government including opposition parties and of course the full support of the Media. The Yes to repeal campaign have no problem twisting the truth with phrases like Vote yes for “Womans health care”, “compassion in a crisis”, “Our bodies our choice”, but I must admit I feel very confident that we are going to win as the truth of abortion is managing to surface and I believe this is a result of all the prayers. I thank Our Lady for her intervention God bless you.

Hi Everyone, I want to thank “A Friend of Medjugorje” who now is “The biggest Friend of Ireland” over here we can’t thank you enough for taking up our huge challenge which is front of us here in Ireland in the lead up to the 25th May referendum to permit the killing of the unborn in our towns and villages. Your support has already gone way beyond what I was hoping for when I sent my email for prayer just 2 days ago. Would you believe the pro abortion people have already started to argue among themselves so Our Lady does truly move in mysterious ways.
