Set out with Him?
A pilgrim in Medjugorje, walking up Apparition Mountain barefoot. This is a common sight, as the penance of doing something hard on the body, brings peace to the heart and cleansing to the soul. This is at the very core of the BVM Caritas Medjugorje Pilgrimages, of being hard on the body to rest the spirit.
Our Lady says to, “set out with Him…” “Set out,” means to follow Him. Follow Him where? Follow Him on the Way of the Cross. Our Lady is telling us that this is where we will, “…rest, rest in My Son…” This understanding is what is at the very heart of the BVM Caritas Medjugorje Pilgrimages.
But, can the penance of a pilgrimage really bring rest? A recent BVM Caritas Medjugorje pilgrim to Medjugorje wrote to us:

There is still a little space available on the July 28 – Aug. 6, 2016, pilgrimage to Medjugorje. However, the Sept. 27 – Oct. 6, 2016, pilgrimage to Medjugorje is sold out. The Oct. 26 – Nov. 4, 2016 pilgrimage has availability at this point, but the pilgrimages fill up quickly.
