On the nineteenth anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions in Medjugorje, Our Lady’s message to Marija was very short, especially for a monthly message to the world. Our Lady said:
It wasn’t until the next day, when the Holy Father released the third secret of Fatima after decades of the faithful waiting for this moment, that the June 25, 2000, message took on a more significant meaning. It was not by coincidence that the release of the secret fell just after Medjugorje’s anniversary, in the Great Jubilee Year, especially knowing of Pope John Paul II’s belief in Medjugorje. Though the official interpretation of the third secret was that the events foretold in the secret have already come to pass, Our Lady’s June 25th message, in which She said:
makes one ask if that is true. A Friend of Medjugorje was in Medjugorje on June 25-26 when the third secret came out. Speaking to a group of pilgrims, he said if the threat has passed, why would Our Lady speak of fear and the future? She says to pray so not to be afraid because there will be fearful things take place in the future. It was She who said that Medjugorje is the fulfillment of Fatima on August 25, 1991:
The release of the 3rd Secret of Fatima will always be connected to Our Lady’s message of June 25, 2000 in Medjugorje. It is one more piece of evidence that Our Lady’s messages of Medjugorje coincide with real past historic events as well as future historical events which will confirm Our Lady’s words and show how prophetic they were and will continue to be for all future time.
