On January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany, the Great Jubilee year ended with the closing of the Holy Doors in St. Peter’s Basilica by Pope John Paul II. It was the hope of the Holy Father that the Church would reap great spiritual fruit from these past four years of intense prayer. But he also knew that the Church was in need of much purification.
