Test Conclusions Sent to the Vatican

Bishop Ratko Peric, bishop of Mostar, publicly issues another condemnation of Medjugorje. At the same time, to mark the 25th anniversary of the apparitions, results of the latest scientific testing on the visionaries were sent to the Vatican. Professor Henri Joyeaux, who has been involved since 1984 in studying the visionaries, stated in an interview with a Croatian newspaper:

“We recorded a large number of apparitions. We carefully analyzed them and we were looking for any signs of fraud while recording those phenomena hundreds of times. Our team made all the strict psychological tests and we completely agree that all of them are physically, mentally, individually and socially healthy. We could even say more healthy than the average health rate in France.”

The report went on to say:

“The conclusion is so clear: what is happening in Medjugorje is serious and should be taken seriously. Those are the official results of the medical experiment started on the 25th of June of 2005 in Medjugorje on Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti and Ivan Dragicevic. Those results just confirmed that what is happening with visionaries in the moment of apparition of Virgin Mary is real.”

While science cannot say who it is that the visionaries are seeing, the scientists testify to the following once again:

“It’s proved that the apparitions are neither a dream, hallucination, nor hysteria. There are no signs of delusion and therefore their brains are fully functional.”

After a quarter of a century, according to the scientists who have studied them over time, the visionaries remain credible witnesses to their testimony of seeing the Virgin Mary.
