The Boston Globe newspaper in Boston, Massachusettes, released a story that broke open the priest abuse scandal that reached across the nation, and eventually across the world. Medjugorje visionary Ivan, married to a woman from Boston, established his home in Boston. For years, Our Lady had been appearing in Boston every evening, to Ivan in his home. One priest who is a believer in Medjugorje made an observation that it was not by coincidence that the scandal broke in Boston. He said where there is light, darkness cannot hide. Through the presence of Our Lady, who is Purity Herself, darkness was forced out into the open. It is a Biblical principle that, “There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.†(Luke 8:17)
This scandal that rocked the Church was yet more evidence that satan was unchained, as Our Lady proclaimed on January 1, 2001, and that Our Lady was coming through Her apparitions to purify the Church.
