Pope John Paul II Proclaimed Venerable

Pope John Paul II Proclaimed Venerable

Pope John Paul II was proclaimed venerable by his successor Pope Benedict XVI. Achieving the “venerable” status, which John Paul II, as well as Pius XII, did in 2009, is the first stage of beatification. To proceed forward in the process, the confirmation of a miracle attributed to the intercession of the potential saint is necessary.
