The spring of 2015 marks the beginning of the Syrian refugee crisis that began flooding European nations with refugees from primarily Muslim nations. Leaders of the European Union loosened their border and immigration policies, which led to a great migration of Muslims throughout many European nations. With border security compromised, terrorists found easy passage into these nations. Nations also began experiencing economic difficulties taking in more people than their economic structures could handle, as well as great social tensions as the Muslim populations were not interested in amalgamating into Western societies. The crisis has grown and has become a great threat to Western civilization, particularly for the Church whose Christian population has greatly diminished in Europe while the Muslim population is rapidly growing through migration and Muslim families having many children.
