Major ISIS Attack in Nice, France

On Bastille Day in Nice, France, a 19-ton cargo truck deliberately plowed into crowds of civilians celebrating their national feast day. It was a horror-filled evening in which 86 were confirmed dead, and 434 injured. The Promenade by the waterfront had been closed to traffic and a long section had been converted into a pedestrian zone. A fireworks display had just finished when the cargo truck, seemingly out of control, began mounting speed upwards to 60 mph into the crowds. ISIS took credit for the attack. As with the Paris attacks less than a year earlier, in Nice it was civilians who were targeted, at a celebration where many families, young people and children were in attendance.
