Medjugorje visionary Ivan Dragicevic’s four day visit to Lebanon began on Thursday, November 15 and went through November 18. The first night, which took place in Bkerke at The Patriarchal Edifice was attended by an estimated 12,000 people who began to arrive several hours before the event began at 6 p.m., some even sleeping outside the night before. Maronite Cardinal Beshara Boutros El- Rahi, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, presided over the Mass and Eucharistic Adoration. It was viewed as an event in itself that this was the first time that the Patriarch of the East was present for a Medjugorje apparition. It was reported that Ivan said Mary was very much happy during the apparition, that Our Lady asked for peace and thanked her children. The Virgin Mary said that She will pray for Lebanon and for the Lebanese people. She said she gave her blessing to the Patriarch, and She blessed everyone. She thanked everyone for praying with Her and She asked everyone to pray for peace. She said that She is always with us. Attendees reported that Ivan said that Our Lady came so close to the Cardinal Patriarch El-Rahi and prayed over him in a special way. After the apparition, Lebanon was solemnly consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Father Boulos Fahed from the Maronite Marian order. In his consecration he used the prayer of Pope John Paul II when he consecrated the whole world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
