The Catholic News Service reported that the Commission set up by Pope Benedict XVI to study Medjugorje met for the first time. It has been stated by those in the Vatican that the work will be discreet but demanding, that the Commission will proceed with great prudence, and it will take the commission “a good while†to reach a conclusion. Though the work will be quite involved, Commission member Fr. Salvatore Perrella stated: “The pope wants a decisive conclusion made.â€
