Every year in either June or July the Bishop of Mostar precides over Mass in Medjugorje for the Confirmation class. It had become normal for the bishop each year to take this opportunity to speak his negative opinion about the apparitions. This year was no exception. Bishop Ratko Peric repeated in his homily that he does not believe in the supernatural character of the apparitions in Medjugorje. However, he did state that he was satisfied with the pastoral administration of St. James Parish.
