It was a great joy to learn that Ivan’s apparition was opened to pilgrims tonight. It was a peace-filled night with a clear, starry sky up above and mild temperatures that made it pleasant for everyone to wait in prayer for Our Lady’s coming while gathered around Her Blue Cross. The familiar voices of Ivan’s prayer group led the prayer of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. These apparitions of Ivan on the mountain are always anticipated with great joy and gratitude, as Our Lady typically stays much longer than in Her daily apparitions. It is such a grace to be able to have long minutes with Our Lady to say everything in one’s heart and still have time just to be in Her presence and love Her and receive Her love. We send you Our Lady’s peace tonight from the Blue Cross in Medjugorje along with Her message to persevere.
After Ivan’s apparition tonight, Ivan said:
“Also today, as every day after the meeting together with Our Lady, I would like to briefly describe tonight’s meeting to you. Also today Our Lady came to us very joyful and happy and She greeted all of us with Her motherly greeting, ‘Praised be Jesus my dear children.’ Then, with Her arms extended for a while, Our Lady prayed over all of us here. She prayed especially here over you the sick present and you the priests present. Then She said:
Then Our Lady blessed all of us with Her motherly blessing, and blessed everything you brought to be blessed. I recommended all of you, your needs, your intentions, your families. After that, for awhile, Our Lady continued to pray over all of us, and She left in that prayer, in an illuminated Sign of the Cross, with a greeting, ‘Go in peace my dear children.’ This would be what was the most important from tonight’s meeting.”
A Friend of Medjugorje says, that October 13, 2017, marks a clear turning point which Our Lady’s plans will be initiated. Cross Mountain, tonight, October 20, 2017, as seen from the Blue Cross on Apparition Mountain, just around sunset.
At the highest point overlooking the village, the Cross on Cross Mountain is the last thing seen in the sky before the sun sets. In the same way, Our Lady desires that God be the first and last thoughts of our day, the first and last thoughts about every situation in life. “Be persevering in prayer…” are more than just words. These words are the desire of Our Lady, and as a Friend of Medjugorje has often said, it should be the joy of our hearts to fulfill the desires of Our Lady. Our Lady’s desires are not just for Her, but they are for us, to make us grow stronger, in holiness and in happiness. This week, be mindful of Our Lady’s desire and seek with all your heart to fulfill them, praying for the realization of Her plans.
